Andor | Season 2 Trailer | Streaming April 22 on Disney+
The Andor season 2 trailer shows the Rebellion uniting. “We’re in a war,” says Cassian Andor, played by Diego Luna. “You wanna fight, or you wanna win?” The second season of Disney+'s highly praised series will continue to follow Cassian's journey toward joining the Rebel Alliance. This season takes place four years prior to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, where Cassian collaborates with Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) to obtain the Death Star plans.
Alongside Luna, Andor season 2 features Stellan Skarsgård, Genevieve O’Reilly, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Faye Marsay, Varada Sethu, and Elizabeth Dulau. Several actors from Rogue One return for this season, including Alan Tudyk as K-2SO, Ben Mendelsohn as Director Orson Krennic, and Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera.
Cassian’s adventure continues.
The second season of Andor will start streaming April 22, exclusively on @DisneyPlus.
In a statement, creator and executive producer Tony Gilroy shared, “One of the great thrills of making Andor is the scale of the story and the number of characters we’re able to meet — ordinary people, Imperial rulers, passionate rebels. They are real individuals making significant choices, all facing dilemmas with frightening consequences. While Cassian's journey forms the core of our narrative, it's the ensemble that enriches the show. I’m thrilled for audiences to see where we take it in Season 2.”
Andor season 1 received widespread acclaim, with many critics labeling it as the “adult Star Wars show.” Digital Trends writer Alex Welch asserted that Andor “fundamentally changed the franchise forever.” The first season earned three Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series.
Andor season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on April 22, 2025, consisting of 12 episodes divided into four chapters of three episodes each.
