AOC has introduced the AGP327KG, a 31.5-inch monitor featuring a 5120x2880 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, along with G-SYNC Pulsar technology, which incorporates NVIDIA’s motion-clarity advancements into a larger, high-resolution display.

      A larger, more immersive panel

At Gamescom 2026, AGON by AOC revealed the AGP327KG, a 31.5-inch gaming monitor boasting a native resolution of 5120×2880 that operates at 144Hz. Nvidia and AOC are marketing it as the world’s first 5K monitor with G-SYNC Pulsar support, a technology for variable backlight frequency that has previously only been available on 27-inch 1440p monitors.

Unlike the initial G-SYNC Pulsar lineup introduced earlier this year, which consisted of 27-inch displays with a resolution of 2560×1440 and a maximum refresh rate of 360Hz—designed for competitive gamers—the AGP327KG opts for a different strategy. Rather than emphasizing a higher refresh rate, it increases the pixel count fourfold and expands the screen size to 31.5 inches while maintaining a more moderate refresh rate of 144Hz.

Nvidia's G-SYNC Pulsar enhances motion clarity by adjusting the backlight frequency without changing the actual refresh rate. The AGP327KG utilizes this feature on a larger, clearer display, with AOC anticipating that gamers interested in resolutions beyond 1440p prioritize improved resolution and immersion over merely achieving the highest frame rates.

Additionally, the AGP327KG integrates G-SYNC Ambient Adaptive Technology, equipped with a light sensor that automatically adjusts brightness and color temperature to align with the surrounding environment. AOC is showcasing the monitor live at Gamescom, part of a broader Nvidia announcement that also includes DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction and a beta version of a new Nvidia app for Pulsar’s on-screen controls, with a complete release expected in September.

The claim of being the world's first comes with a caveat

Acer previously displayed the Predator XB323QX, a 31.5-inch 5120×2880 monitor with G-SYNC Pulsar support, during CES 2025 and again at Computex 2025. However, that monitor has yet to be released.

Should the AGP327KG hit the market first, the term “world’s first” would indicate the first model to actually be available, rather than the first announced with these specifications. Nonetheless, AOC has not yet revealed a release date or pricing, which will ultimately determine if it surpasses Acer’s monitor to market.
