iOS 27 Beta 7 has been released, with Beta 8 upcoming, and Apple’s fall software is almost prepared.

      Seven betas in, Apple's autumn software lineup is nearing completion.

      Apple has not yet set a date for the iPhone 18 Pro launch event, but it is finalizing the software groundwork required to release the stable iOS 27 update at the same time.

      The company has just rolled out beta 7 for its entire fall software range, including iOS 27 to visionOS 27.

      So, what’s included in Beta 7?

      Today’s release features improvements across all platforms: iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, tvOS 27, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27. This drop follows beta 6 from just a week ago.

      The build numbers have progressed: iOS and iPadOS now sit at 24A5424a, while macOS has risen to 26A5421a. However, significant changes should not be anticipated.

      At this stage in the beta cycle, Apple usually concentrates on tuning the operating system and fixing bugs, emphasizing stability rather than introducing new features. Minor UI adjustments or new icons might appear, but substantial changes are unlikely.

      What's different across the beta cycle?

      Looking back to June, the list of actual new features is much more extensive. The initial build presented a reimagined Liquid Glass aesthetic and a revamped Siri AI experience.

      A few weeks later, Beta 3 expanded Siri’s AI voice customization to more recent iPhones, and Beta 5 advanced that customization into British English, alongside a new Liquid Glass icon for the Siri application.

      Nevertheless, this does not mean you should hurry to install beta 7. Developer betas are intended for testing purposes, not everyday use, and Apple recommends anyone interested to opt for the public beta track instead, preferably on a spare device rather than a primary phone or Mac.

      Apple generally releases 8 to 10 beta builds before finalizing testing. With the arrival of Beta 7, it’s expected that Beta 8 will be issued next week, with release candidates likely following shortly after Apple’s iPhone event, which could occur on September 9, 2026.
