iOS 27 Beta 7 has been released, Beta 8 is on the way, and Apple’s autumn software is almost complete.
With seven betas completed, Apple's autumn software lineup is nearing its final stages.
Although Apple hasn’t confirmed the date for the iPhone 18 Pro launch event, it is already in the process of finalizing the software foundation needed for the stable release of iOS 27.
The company has just released beta 7 for its entire fall collection, which includes iOS 27 through visionOS 27.
So, what’s new in Beta 7?
The latest release features enhancements across the board, including iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, tvOS 27, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27. This release follows beta 6, which was issued just a week prior.
The build numbers have updated across all platforms: iOS and iPadOS are now at 24A5424a, while macOS has moved to 26A5421a. However, significant changes are not expected.
At this stage of the beta cycle, Apple usually focuses on refining the operating system and fixing bugs, prioritizing stability over introducing new features. Minor UI changes or new icons may occur, but nothing major is anticipated.
What changes have occurred throughout the beta cycle?
Looking back to June, the list of new features has expanded considerably. The initial build brought a refreshed Liquid Glass appearance along with a new Siri AI experience.
Subsequent updates saw Beta 3 extend Siri’s voice customization options to newer iPhones, while Beta 5 took this further with British English options and a new Liquid Glass icon for the Siri app.
That said, you shouldn’t feel pressured to install beta 7. Developer betas are intended for testing purposes rather than everyday use, and Apple suggests that curious users explore the public beta instead, preferably on a secondary device rather than their main phone or Mac.
Apple typically releases between 8 to 10 beta versions before concluding testing. With Beta 7 now available, it’s anticipated that Beta 8 will be launched next week, with release candidates likely to follow shortly after Apple's iPhone event, which could take place on September 9, 2026.
