As another month rolls by, streaming services are raising prices again, with ESPN now announcing an increase.
Beginning on September 17, the costs for ESPN Select and ESPN Unlimited will rise (as stated by ESPN support). This change will also affect several bundles that include Disney+ and Hulu, marking the first price adjustment since ESPN’s standalone app was introduced last August.

So, what changes will take effect on September 17?
The monthly fee for ESPN Select will increase from $12.99 to $13.99, reflecting a $1 rise, while the annual subscription will go from $129.99 to $139.99, a $10 increase. For ESPN Unlimited, the monthly charge will change from $29.99 to $31.99, and the annual fee will shift from $299.99 to $319.99, resulting in an extra $2 monthly and $20 annually.
The three bundles affiliated with ESPN Select will also see a price hike. The ad-supported Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Select bundle will increase from $19.99 to $21.99 per month, adding $2 to the overall cost.
The ad-free version will rise from $29.99 to $32.99, which translates to a larger increase of $3 per month. Additionally, the legacy ad-free bundle, which is no longer available to new subscribers, will move from $24.99 to $27.99, another increase of $3.

Why is ESPN increasing prices now?
The upcoming price adjustment on September 17 represents the first increase for ESPN Select and Unlimited subscriptions since the network revamped its streaming services last August. This overhaul included a new scrollable, short-form video feed and a personalized section of SportsCenter.
This price adjustment is not occurring in isolation. Recently, Peacock raised its prices by as much as $3 a month, while Apple has also increased the costs of Apple Music and Apple One. If you find your ESPN expenses increasing, it’s wise to review your bundle before September 17.
If you’re looking to avoid a price hike, staying with an Unlimited-based package will help you bypass these increases, though it means sacrificing access to ESPN’s complete network lineup.
