Samsung's major Call of Duty agreement includes early access to Modern Warfare 4.
Samsung's ultra-wide monitors may have found the ideal companion for Call of Duty
Anyone who owns Samsung’s high-end Odyssey series ultra-wide monitors now has another reason to utilize every part of their display. Samsung has partnered with Activision to become the official supplier of TVs, monitors, soundbars, and Wi-Fi speakers for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, integrating HDR10+ Gaming into the highly anticipated title.
This partnership goes beyond mere branding; Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will launch with a 32:9 aspect ratio, providing Odyssey G9 users with an expansive view of the battlefield.
The collaboration also includes additional benefits, as Samsung will provide early beta codes and allow Gamescom attendees to experience Modern Warfare 4 prior to its October release.

Modern Warfare 4 is optimizing the ultrawide experience
In their official statement, Samsung highlighted that HDR10+ Gaming support will enhance color and contrast while maintaining the developer’s original vision. However, the 32:9 support is likely more significant for PC gamers, particularly those utilizing Samsung’s large Odyssey G9 monitors.
A 32:9 monitor effectively offers the horizontal screen space equivalent to two standard 16:9 displays positioned side by side. Many games still face challenges with proper super-ultrawide compatibility, so Activision’s commitment to supporting it before launch is encouraging for those invested in these large (and costly) displays.
Samsung is also leveraging its Gaming Hub to promote Call of Duty: NEXT on August 21 at 9 am PT. Selected players will receive early access codes for the Modern Warfare 4 Beta via the Samsung Promotion app, allowing access from August 21 to August 25. The broader Open Beta will occur from August 28 to September 1.
Call of Duty
Gamescom attendees can try it in advance
Samsung will showcase the partnership at Gamescom 2026, where visitors can play Modern Warfare 4 at their booth from August 26 to August 30 on premium Odyssey gaming monitors. Selected guests will also receive Vault Edition Battle.net codes for Modern Warfare 4, further indicating expectations for a busy presence in Cologne. The game is set to launch on October 23.
Call of Duty generally excels at attracting players, boasting a large, dedicated fanbase that consistently engages with major title releases. However, the support for Samsung’s massive 32:9 monitors provides PC gamers with an added incentive to pay attention to this collaboration.
