Google might have unintentionally revealed a new fitness tracker that features a display.
Google may have inadvertently unveiled a yet-to-be-announced fitness tracker in a Pixel 11 advertisement.
Recently, new Pixel 11 ads surfaced on YouTube, showcasing a small wearable device with a screen, which does not appear to be the Pixel Watch 5 or the Fitbit Air, prompting speculation that Google might be readying another fitness gadget.
Reddit users noticed these ads in the past day, which seem to promote the updated Pixel lineup. One ad features Pixel 11 phones alongside a Pixel Watch 5, while another displays several Google devices in coordinating green hues. Both advertisements include the mysterious tracker. At least two users have reported seeing the same device in different ads.
A puzzling tracker appears next to Pixel 11 devices.
The wearable's design resembles the small pebble shape of the Fitbit Air, but its screen complicates this comparison. It seems to have a shape closer to a Fitbit Charge tracker; however, there is currently no confirmation regarding its identity, according to a report by 9To5Google.
This revelation is intriguing as the tracker does not seem to be a Pixel Watch. Its smaller size and narrow display imply that Google might be experimenting with a new form factor for fitness tracking, potentially positioned between a basic tracker and a full smartwatch.

So far, there is no definitive proof that Google is planning to launch a new Fitbit Charge model. The current Fitbit Air is a screenless tracker, and the Fitbit brand has increasingly shifted its focus toward hardware since Google redirected its software efforts towards Google Health. Existing Fitbit devices are still available, suggesting that Google could introduce another screen-equipped tracker if it wishes.
The potential advertising error could be significant, but it might also just be a simple mistake. The fact that the unknown device appeared in several ads makes accidental inclusion or a standalone test asset less probable, although its existence and purpose are still unverified.
Google has presented itself with another enigma to unravel.
A new tracker would align well with Google’s broader initiative to integrate Pixel phones, watches, and health products. A smaller wearable could attract those seeking basic fitness and health tracking without the need to wear a full smartwatch, while a screen would provide more immediate information than the Fitbit Air offers.
Google
The primary question remains whether Google plans to market the device at all. As of now, there is no official word on a product name, pricing, or launch date, and the currently available advertisements do not clarify any of these aspects.
For the moment, the mystery tracker stays exactly that—mysterious. Google might clarify its identity, or the company could choose to remove the ads, leaving everyone questioning why this seemingly unannounced Fitbit-style device was featured alongside the Pixel 11 lineup in the first place.
