      NavVis has secured €73.7 million (approximately $85 million) in a Series D funding round led by The Jordan Company, a US private equity firm. Existing investors Yttrium, KOZO KEIKAKU ENGINEERING, and Cipio Partners also took part in this round. Founded in 2013 as a spin-off from the Technical University of Munich, NavVis specializes in creating photorealistic digital replicas of factories, plants, and buildings through the use of wearable laser scanning technology that operates ten times faster than conventional surveying methods.

      The scale of NavVis's operations is impressive, having scanned over one billion square meters of industrial space. More than 150,000 users across engineering, maintenance, and construction leverage this data on a daily basis. The company's clientele includes major names in manufacturing such as BMW, Volkswagen, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, ExxonMobil, BASF, Henkel, Bosch, and Siemens. NavVis collaborates with Nvidia, SAP, and Autodesk, and is active in over 50 countries, serving more than 1,500 customers.

      This funding will support the development of next-generation capture hardware, enhance its AI capabilities, and create an open platform for what NavVis refers to as the "physical AI ecosystem." CTO Georg Schroth highlighted the challenge that industrial teams have historically faced in relying on drawings that are often untrustworthy. NavVis aims to replace these with an up-to-date spatial record, providing a reliable system of truth for all teams, tools, and AI systems involved. The use of digital twins is growing from urban planning to industrial applications, with NavVis focusing on the factory sector, where the stakes are high and data demands are critical.

      The company is rapidly expanding in the US market, noting that its growth has accelerated in recent years. CEO Felix Reinshagen articulated the mission of keeping the physical and digital realities synchronized for the world's most valuable assets. Clients utilize NavVis data to minimize downtime on automotive assembly lines, expedite data center construction, reduce refinery maintenance shutdown periods, strategize robotics deployments, and train industrial foundation models. The spatial data layer is becoming increasingly essential for industrial AI, positioning NavVis as a key player in this domain.
