Tecno unveils a stunning bezel-less concept phone that is remarkably beautiful.

      Say what you will about bezel-less phones, whether they hinder typing or present ergonomic issues, but their appeal is undeniable. For over a decade, smartphone manufacturers have made numerous attempts to minimize or eliminate those black borders. Vivo opted for a sloping screen, while others, like the ill-fated Essential and Xiaomi, continuously trimmed the sides. Apple and Samsung have followed suit but have not ventured into anything particularly daring recently.

      Tecno, however, seems intent on achieving a bezel-less design without any gimmicks. The brand has recently shared a brief teaser video of its "next-gen bezel-less concept phone." It's important to note that this is a concept phone, so expectations should be tempered. The company hasn't announced when this phone will be officially revealed or launched, but IFA 2026 appears to be a strong possibility. As for the device itself, it looks impressive, and there are rumors suggesting that the competition for minimal bezels will heat up in 2027.

      Tecno has incorporated edge-to-edge glass without any sloping or curved techniques. Additionally, the display edges seem to merge with the device's edges almost flawlessly, without any visible borders. How this will affect daily usability remains to be seen, and I will hold off on my judgment until I have the opportunity to see it firsthand.

      According to leakster IceUniverse (on X), the device is expected to be presented at the IFA 2026 Showstoppers. Whether it will become an actual product is uncertain. Tecno has a track record of showcasing bold new concepts at tech events, but most never transition into commercial products, especially in Western markets.

Additionally, viewing content on the inner screen came with significant black bars at the top and bottom. Samsung has now remedied this with the Galaxy Z Fold 8, which features a shorter, wider, passport-shaped design and a cover screen that allows for more comfortable typing.

      Samsung’s next tracker may look better but could be more challenging to attach

      Samsung seems prepared to revamp its Galaxy SmartTag once again. This time, the redesign may compromise one of the SmartTag 2’s most practical features. A recent report from SamMobile has revealed the rumored design of the upcoming Galaxy SmartTag 3. The new smart tracker appears to have a compact squircle-shaped body that aligns with Samsung's recent One UI icons and the shape seen in newer Galaxy Watch displays. In contrast, the current SmartTag 2 has a longer, pill-shaped design dominated by a prominent integrated loop at one end, which the leaked SmartTag 3 design completely eliminates.
