Tecno unveils a stunning bezel-less concept phone that is incredibly impressive.

      Despite criticisms about bezel-less phones being challenging for typing and creating ergonomic issues, their appeal is undeniable. For more than ten years, smartphone manufacturers have attempted to minimize or completely remove those black borders. Companies like Vivo have opted for sloped screens, while others, such as the unsuccessful Essential and Xiaomi, have continuously narrowed the edges. Apple and Samsung took similar approaches but have not introduced any particularly daring innovations recently.

      Tecno, however, seems determined to achieve a bezel-less design without any gimmicks. The company recently released a brief teaser video featuring its “next-gen bezelless concept phone.” As this is a concept device, it is important to note that the brand has yet to announce an official showcase or launch date, but IFA 2026 seems to be the most likely event. The phone itself looks impressive and there are speculations that the competition in reducing bezels will intensify in 2027.

      Tecno has utilized edge-to-edge glass, avoiding any sloping or curving features. Additionally, the display edges appear to almost seamlessly align with the device’s edges, leaving no visible borders. It remains to be seen how this design affects everyday usability, but I will withhold my opinion until I have experienced it first-hand.

      According to leakster IceUniverse (on X), this device will be presented at the IFA 2026 Showstoppers. Whether it will transition into a commercially available device is uncertain. Tecno has a track record of introducing bold concepts at tech events, yet many of these never reach the market, particularly in Western countries.

Samsung has remedied this with the Galaxy Z Fold 8, which sports a shorter, wider, passport-shaped design, along with a cover screen that can be comfortably typed on without straining fingers.

      Samsung appears set to revamp its Galaxy SmartTag once again. However, this redesign might sacrifice one of the most significant advantages of the SmartTag 2. A recent report from SamMobile has leaked the anticipated design of the upcoming Galaxy SmartTag 3.

      The new tracker features a compact squircle shape that resembles Samsung's current One UI icons and the design found on newer Galaxy Watch displays. In contrast, the existing SmartTag 2 has a distinctly different look, characterized by its elongated, pill-shaped body that includes a large integrated loop at one end. The diagrams of the leaked SmartTag 3 indicate that this loop will be eliminated entirely.
