Apple's top device protection offer is finally departing from the US.

      AppleCare One has been exclusive to the United States for its first year, but now Apple is allowing a few additional countries to join. As of August 4, AppleCare One will expand to the UK, France, Germany, and Australia, marking its first international launch since debuting in the US in July 2025.

      This plan enables customers to cover up to three eligible Apple devices under a single monthly subscription, with extra devices available for an additional fee. This makes it especially attractive for those who already own an iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, or Mac.

      In the UK, the starting price for AppleCare One is £16.99 per month for three devices, with an extra £4.99 charged for each additional device. According to Apple, a customer covering an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch could save up to £11.48 per month compared to purchasing separate AppleCare+ plans that include Theft and Loss.

      In Australia, pricing starts at AU$29.99 per month, while additional devices will cost AU$8.99 each. In France, the starting price is said to be €20.99 for three devices, with each extra device costing €5.99. For reference, the current US plan is priced at $19.99 per month for three devices, with an additional $5.99 for each device beyond that.

      AppleCare One offers unlimited accidental damage repairs, battery service, priority support from Apple, and Theft and Loss protection for eligible iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches. Customers can file up to three theft or loss claims per year across covered devices.

      One notable advantage of AppleCare One is that it's not restricted to brand-new devices. Eligible products can be up to four years old at the time of addition, as long as they are still functional. However, headphones have a shorter eligibility period of one year. Apple may require a diagnostic check or in-store inspection for older devices to be accepted.

      This flexibility surpasses the standard 60-day purchase window for AppleCare+ and may be particularly valuable for those with several older devices that are still in regular use. The overall savings will depend on individual ownership; three inexpensive AppleCare+ plans may cost less than AppleCare One, whereas combinations of more expensive iPhones, Macs, and other premium devices could yield significant savings.
