      In the current stable version of iOS, changing the intensity of Adaptive Audio requires going into Settings, selecting Bluetooth, pressing the info button next to your AirPods, and then moving a slider under Audio. However, iOS 27 beta 3 streamlines this by placing the intensity option directly on the main AirPods settings page.

While this new implementation offers a more limited range of adjustment than the existing Bluetooth settings slider, it positions the control in a more accessible location for users.

      Part of a larger AirPods settings update

      A recent report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman indicates that Apple is working on a comprehensive redesign of the AirPods settings interface. This Adaptive Audio shortcut seems to be a component of that broader update rather than just a standalone change. It remains uncertain whether this feature will make it to the stable release or be removed before reaching users this fall.

      If this shortcut is included in the final version, it will allow for quicker adjustments to Adaptive Audio. It may also aid less tech-savvy individuals in discovering the setting, as it will be placed in a more intuitive location rather than hidden within Bluetooth settings.
