Apple has finally allowed you to customize Siri's voice to your preference.
You can now adjust Siri's speed and character to reflect your own vibe. Say goodbye to the generic robotic voice.
During the WWDC 2026 event, Apple showcased that users will at last have the ability to modify how Siri sounds. Although this feature was present in the Settings app since the initial iOS 27 developer beta, the sliders to change Siri’s voice were inactive. With the release of the third developer beta today, these sliders are finally functional. Here’s everything you need to know about Siri's updated voice customization options.
How do the new Siri voice settings operate?
Apple provides two levels of customization for Siri's voice: Pace and Expressivity. The Pace setting adjusts the speed at which Siri speaks, while the expressivity slider modifies the tone and intonation, allowing Siri to sound more human-like.
You can find this setting by navigating to Settings → Siri → Expressive Voice Preview. Here, both sliders are active, each offering five adjustment levels for all currently available voices. Whether you prefer Siri to sound straightforward and professional or vibrant and personable, you have a good variety to experiment with.
The best feature is how Apple allows you to preview your adjustments. As soon as you start moving a slider, Siri plays a continuous audio sample that updates instantly. This real-time feedback enables you to fine-tune Siri's voice to your preference. Once you find a setting you like, just tap the checkmark in the upper-right corner to save your choice.
One setting, multiple apps
Here’s a nice feature: Your customized pace and expressivity selections aren’t restricted to Siri alone. Apple has stated that these settings will also apply to Apple Maps and Safari, ensuring that your preferred voice characteristics carry over across different experiences rather than resetting each time you change apps.
I've been experimenting with these new Siri voice controls, and honestly, everyone should try them out. It’s a minor adjustment, but it significantly enhances the enjoyment of using Siri.

Google’s Pixel 11 price increase may come disguised as a storage upgrade
Price increases may be on the way for the Pixel 11, but it could be a worthwhile deal.
Google has begun sending invites for its next Made by Google event set for August 12. The Pixel 11 series is anticipated to headline the event, and if the latest pricing leak is accurate, buyers should brace for a higher starting price this year. According to Dealabs, the Pixel 11 series will no longer begin at 128GB. Google is reportedly making 256GB the new standard storage option for the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Prices also seem to be increasing by 100 euros across the board.
If you've come to rely on Apple's Shortcuts app regularly, there's a good chance that some of your automations may have quietly disappeared without your notice. They might still exist somewhere in iCloud, but aren't visible in your library. iOS 27 is finally addressing this issue. The Beta 3 version of iOS 27 includes a new Restore button hidden in Settings > Apps > Shortcuts. When the system detects automations on your device that aren't appearing in your library, it shows a notification: "X shortcuts on this device aren't currently in your library."
Google confirms Pixel 11 launch event with a glimpse of its new flagship design
The Pixel 11 will be officially unveiled in the second week of August.
Google has officially announced the Pixel 11 launch event. The Made by Google 2026 event is set for August 12, 2026, which is a week earlier than last year's event. It will begin at 6 PM ET in New York City, noticeably later than Google's usual schedule. Alongside the date confirmation, Google released an invitation image showcasing a gold metal frame, which might provide our clearest view yet of the Pixel 11 Pro's design: a flat frame with a premium finish.
