Recent leaks suggest that the iPhone 18 Pro Max will see a significant battery enhancement, with reports indicating a 5,235mAh battery for the physical SIM model and a 5,425mAh battery for the eSIM-only variant.
Now, the 3C certification database from China (via Digital Chat Station) appears to confirm the actual battery capacities for both the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Notably, the Pro Max battery capacities listed there are even larger than those previously leaked.
The Pro Max battery appears to be even more substantial now.
The 3C listing indicates that the iPhone 18 Pro Max is equipped with a significantly larger battery than its predecessor. The physical SIM version is shown to have a 5,391mAh battery, while the eSIM-only variant reaches up to 5,567mAh.

These figures exceed the previously reported 5,235mAh and 5,425mAh capacities. It also represents a considerable increase from the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which reportedly has a 4,823mAh battery in SIM models and a 5,088mAh battery in eSIM-only models.
The smaller Pro may see minimal changes.
The iPhone 18 Pro appears to have a less dramatic upgrade. The SIM version is listed with a 4,056mAh battery, while the eSIM-only model reportedly contains a 4,288mAh cell. Compared to the iPhone 17 Pro, these increases are relatively small.
Apple typically does not disclose raw battery capacities in its official specifications, so final confirmation is expected post-launch through teardowns. However, a 3C listing provides more concrete information than a typical social media leak.
If these figures are accurate, the iPhone 18 Pro Max could feature one of the most significant battery upgrades in recent years. This additional capacity may be necessary, as Apple is focusing on new on-device AI features with iOS 27. Additionally, it has been reported that the standard iPhone 18 may miss out on two major Siri AI features introduced with iOS 27 due to hardware restrictions.
