The hit party game Party Animals is making its way to mobile devices, introducing furry mayhem to smartphones.

      During the TapTap Game Conference on Thursday, Recreate Games revealed they are developing a mobile version of their popular party game, Party Animals. The studio mentioned, “The mobile version folder has been created,” but did not specify any details regarding testing or a release date. Nonetheless, the announcement quickly garnered significant attention from gamers.

      Since its debut on PC and Xbox in 2023, Party Animals has gained popularity for multiplayer sessions, thanks to its cute animal characters, physics-based slapstick gameplay, and fun party mechanics. The game has received a Very Positive rating on Steam and has been nominated for Best Multiplayer Game at The Game Awards (TGA) and the BAFTA Games Awards, establishing it as one of China's most recognized party games.

      The team confirmed that the mobile version will maintain the core gameplay of the original. Players will once again control round, fluffy animal characters to participate in sports, card games, hide-and-seek, fishing, or engage in the game’s signature playful brawls.

      To accommodate mobile devices, the development team plans to optimize the touchscreen controls, striving to ensure that classic actions such as moving, grabbing, and sprinting feel seamless while retaining the original’s physics-based interactions. For now, however, development is still in its early stages, which the developers humorously describe as the “folder created” phase. It remains unclear if the mobile version will offer platform-exclusive gameplay, new social features, or monetization methods.

      The announcement has generated considerable excitement within the community. Many long-time players are eager to enjoy Party Animals with friends wherever they are, without the need for a PC. Others who previously bypassed the game due to its platform restrictions see the mobile adaptation as a chance to finally join in.
