      SwitchBot has introduced the Outdoor Pan/Tilt Cam 3K in North America and the UK, providing a new outdoor security solution for monitoring yards, driveways, entrances, garages, and small businesses.

      This camera is designed to provide greater coverage compared to stationary security cameras. It boasts horizontal and vertical rotation, the ability to track moving subjects, records in 3K resolution, and employs AI to summarize events in clips, such as package deliveries, animals entering the yard, or individuals approaching the property.

      It is currently available for purchase on SwitchBot’s website and Amazon stores, starting at $79.99 in the U.S., CAD 89.99 in Canada, and £89.99 in the U.K. Some advanced AI functionalities require the AI Guard Premium plan, which is priced at $4.99 monthly in the U.S. and £3.99 monthly in the U.K.

      The Outdoor Pan/Tilt Cam 3K features 360-degree horizontal rotation, 90-degree vertical rotation, and a wide-angle lens with a 110-degree field of view. This provides extensive coverage for outdoor areas, reducing blind spots often associated with fixed cameras. Its motion tracking capability allows the camera to follow and record moving subjects. Users can designate specific detection zones for areas like driveways, backyards, or garages, while minimizing alerts from passing traffic or roads.

Rather than sending standard motion alerts, the camera can articulate incidents in clear language, such as noting when a delivery occurs, an animal enters the property, or someone approaches the house.
