Quick Review
The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Ultra Plus is a robust portable power station designed for homeowners seeking dependable emergency backup without opting for a permanent whole-home battery installation. With a 3,072Wh LFP battery, 3,600W continuous inverter output, and the capability to expand up to 11kWh with additional battery packs, it finds a balance between compact camping models and heavy-duty home battery systems that require professional installation.
This unit stands out due to its impressive capacity, quiet operation, and various expansion options that few rivals can match. EcoFlow's companion app enhances functionality with features like Storm Guard, which activates charging during severe weather, and Smart Output Priority, which allows users to prioritize certain circuits. The suitcase-style handle and rubber wheels make it manageable for a 74-pound unit that might otherwise require two people to lift. Additionally, a built-in telescoping handle can be found at the bottom front for easier transport.
However, the price of $2,899 poses a challenge for justification. This places it in direct competition with EcoFlow’s own DELTA Pro, which offers a larger 3,600Wh battery, 240V capability, and an expansion option up to 25kWh, often at a lower price. At the heavily reduced street price of approximately $1,499–$1,599, the value equation flips in favor of the Ultra Plus, establishing it as one of the leading 120V backup solutions available. If purchased on sale, it receives my highest recommendation for anyone developing a home resilience plan. Note: At the time of this review, the price on their website is $1,499 and appears to be the new permanent rate.

Design and Portability
The DELTA 3 Ultra Plus adopts the aesthetic of EcoFlow’s DELTA Pro line, featuring a matte gray exterior with chrome highlights and a clean industrial look. It has a functional appearance well-suited for a garage, utility closet, or living room corner. However, its neutral color may cause it to blend in with other garage appliances. A bolder color option would have been desirable.
At 74 pounds, the term “portable” requires some clarification. While it’s not suitable for tossing in a sedan for a camping trip, it can be rolled. EcoFlow has equipped the Ultra Plus
