In a time of extremely expensive smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy M47 emerges as an affordable solution.

The Galaxy M47 is designed for those who prioritize a phone over a financial burden.

Smartphone prices have become increasingly steep lately. Many mid-range models are approaching flagship entry-level prices, while budget devices compete with older, more powerful mid-range smartphones. However, the Galaxy M47 emerges as a refreshing option.

It debuts at a time of rising costs, yet Samsung has maintained its affordability. It will be available in India starting at Rs 22,999 (approximately $243), which includes a promotional offer. This model will be on sale through Amazon during the Prime Day event beginning July 4.

      What are its features?

The Galaxy M47 features a large 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, stereo speakers, and a substantial 6,000mAh battery. It also offers 45W wired fast charging, although the necessary charger must be purchased separately.

This device is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, built on a 4nm process, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Additionally, users can expand storage by up to 2TB using a microSD card.

Among its many attributes, Samsung has tailored this model for gamers by including bypass charging. This feature allows users to play while charging, directing power straight to the processor instead of the battery, thus minimizing heat and battery drain during extended gaming sessions.

The software support is also impressive.

The camera system includes a 50MP main camera with OIS, along with an ultrawide and macro camera. There’s also a 12MP front camera, Nightography capabilities, and support for 4K video. While the camera setup is decent, the standout feature is the extensive software support. Samsung aims to provide 6 OS updates and 6 years of security updates, closely matching its flagship software support.

The Galaxy M47 will be sold in two color options: Rogue Red and Blaze Blue. It will also include convenient features such as Knox Vault and NFC support.
