Prime Video's popular series Invincible has been renewed for a sixth season, and Jack Quaid from The Boys will be added to the list of villains.

Prime Video has delivered great news for Invincible fans, even before Season 5 has debuted. At the Annecy Festival, creator Robert Kirkman announced that the animated superhero series has been renewed for Season 6. He also revealed that Jack Quaid, known for his role in The Boys, will be joining the cast.
The reason behind Prime Video's renewal of Invincible for Season 6 prior to the airing of Season 5 was attributed by Kirkman to the show's devoted fanbase and creative team. He specifically acknowledged long-time supervising directors Shaun O’Neill and Dan Duncan, who are now taking on executive producer roles. Season 4 ended earlier this year with a flawless 100% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and Prime Video confirmed this was the most-watched season of the show.
Kirkman has mentioned that fully adapting his comic series would take seven to nine seasons, so this early renewal brings Invincible closer to completing its narrative. Season 6 will also establish Invincible as the platform’s longest-running animated series, matching Netflix’s BoJack Horseman.
Jack Quaid transitions from one Prime Video success to another
Quaid, famously known for portraying Hughie Campbell on The Boys, will lend his voice to Chris, also known as Gravitator, in Invincible's forthcoming fifth season. In the comics, Gravitator is a genius engineer who creates an anti-gravity suit and initially employs it for thievery until a confrontation with Invincible inspires him to reform and join the Global Defense Agency instead.
A sneak peek shown at Annecy featured Gravitator executing a heist before being apprehended, indicating the show is staying true to this origin story. Quaid joins a lineup of actors who have shifted between The Boys and Invincible, including Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Invincible Season 5 is projected to launch sometime between February and April 2027, with Season 6 anticipated to follow when Kirkman and his team are ready to advance Mark Grayson’s storyline.
