Completing forms on mobile has become much simpler with Google Wallet.
Google Chrome’s newly upgraded Autofill feature can now retrieve travel documents, vehicle information, and more directly from Google Wallet.
Typing in details such as passport numbers, vehicle registration, and loyalty card information on a small smartphone screen is generally not enjoyable. Google appears to share this sentiment. The company has revealed that Chrome on both Android and iOS is receiving a significant Autofill enhancement that allows it to pull data directly from Google Wallet, simplifying the process of completing intricate forms on mobile devices.
Chrome Autofill is becoming much smarter
According to Google, the enhanced Autofill functionality can now access a broader range of information saved in Google Wallet, which includes travel-related info, loyalty cards, vehicle credentials, and other data that users typically need to input manually. This feature aims to assist with activities such as checking in for flights, renting cars, making parking reservations, and various online registrations.
Excited to roll out advanced autofill on mobile using info from Google Wallet… a significant time saver. Now Chrome can securely autofill much more detailed information – including your driver’s license info, passport details, and Known Traveler Number – on Android and iOS. pic.twitter.com/UbppTdT7ep— Nick Fox (@thefox) June 24, 2026
This update builds upon Chrome’s Enhanced Autofill system introduced by Google over the past year. Earlier, Chrome added support for data such as passport numbers, driver’s licenses, vehicle identification numbers (VINs), and license plate details. With the recent update, this information is now more accessible on mobile thanks to improved integration with Google Wallet.
Google is also making this feature available to users on both Android and iPhone platforms, ensuring that the Autofill experience in Chrome is uniform across devices. Instead of sifting through emails, screenshots, or different apps, users can simply select the relevant Wallet entry while filling out a compatible form.
In all honesty, this seems more beneficial than many AI capabilities
Interestingly, while tech companies often highlight AI assistants, some of the most significant improvements tend to be less exciting. Anyone who has ever frantically searched for a passport number while checking in for a flight or tried to locate a loyalty card ID during an online transaction understands how frustrating these situations can be.

What’s noteworthy is that this development reinforces Google Wallet’s role as more than just a payment card repository. Over the past year, Google has gradually transformed Wallet into a central hub for IDs, tickets, loyalty programs, travel information, and vehicle credentials. If executed correctly, Advanced Autofill could become one of those features that users appreciate without even noticing it because it functions seamlessly. In the realm of mobile software, that is generally the highest praise a feature can receive.

The iPhone 18 Pro may not be as expensive as initially anticipated, but caution is advisable
J.P. Morgan suggests that the price increase for the iPhone 18 Pro may be lower than expected.
Recently, Tim Cook indicated that prices for Apple hardware, including iPhones, are likely to rise due to the company facing challenges in absorbing escalating costs. The most significant pressure comes from memory, as RAM and storage prices have surged across the technology sector. This has raised concerns that the iPhone 18 Pro could experience a considerable price increase. However, new insights from J.P. Morgan suggest a less alarming scenario. A screenshot of the firm’s estimates, shared by Max Weinbach on X, indicates that Apple might be able to offset part of the memory costs through savings elsewhere.
