Professional conference interpretation setups are widely regarded as challenging. They involve dedicated booths, trained interpreters, cumbersome equipment, and a monthly bill that makes you doubt the necessity of the meeting in the first place.
Timekettle aims to simplify all this with a single hub weighing 199 grams (lighter than many modern flagship smartphones). The company has just introduced the X1 Meeting Interpreter Hub.

So, how does this device function?
It’s a portable AI translation tool designed for real-time interpretation for a group of up to 50 participants across five languages at the same time. Timekettle asserts that the interpreter supports a total of 52 languages, with 106 accents, which can be advantageous for multinational corporations.
Presenters or active speakers utilize dedicated X1 Meeting earbuds featuring bone-voiceprint noise reduction and multi-microphone processing to capture voices clearly, even in noisy environments. Although the earbuds may appear somewhat outdated, their effectiveness is what truly matters.
Participants, including those joining remotely, can stay connected by scanning a QR code or clicking on a meeting link from their phones, tablets, or laptops. There’s no need to download or install any extra apps.

Is there any notable drawback?
The company asserts that it offers translated audio and live text on their devices using the headphones that participants already own.
Meeting transcripts are saved locally with 32GB of internal storage rather than on the cloud. For larger events, you can connect up to 10 hubs wirelessly within a 16-foot range and export the necessary data through the USB-C port.
The potential downside you might be concerned about could lie in the price, especially for small business owners or teams working from makeshift offices. The device is priced at $849 at launch and is currently available on Amazon.

Apple MacBook Air M5 review: Boring has never been this good
Quick Take
The MacBook Air M5 results from Apple's ongoing refinement of an already impressive laptop instead of a complete overhaul. On paper, the improvements may seem modest—the design remains the same, the display is still 60Hz, and the M5 chip doesn't present the significant upgrade that would render last year's model obsolete. However, after two weeks of use, none of this truly matters.

Dell Pro Max 18 Plus review: I tested this giant in an AI startup lab and it refused to sweat
A large laptop designed to stay on your desk, process data, and make your desktop feel inferior.
View at Dell
Testing laptops is my profession, which has led to a less-than-ideal habit. Whenever a high-end machine arrives at my desk, I immediately attempt to push its limits to uncover any weaknesses, whether it's a render stall, a fan curve failure, or throttling that turns specifications into mere marketing hype. Approaching the Dell Pro Max 18 Plus, I expected to encounter such hurdles. Instead, I spent two weeks watching this 18-inch powerhouse handle everything I threw its way and continue to demand more. It even impressed the engineers at an AI lab who tested it against their reliable training desktop.
