Amazfit has recently launched a smartwatch designed for individuals who train intensely but find recovery challenging.

Amazfit has introduced the Balance Ultra, a new flagship smartwatch designed for users who closely monitor their workouts but may not give the same level of attention to recovery.

Recovery is crucial to training, as inadequate sleep, elevated stress, and poorly timed rest days can significantly impact progress. This new smartwatch aims to simplify tracking by integrating workout data with metrics related to sleep, stress, heart rate, HRV, blood oxygen, respiration, and recovery via the Zepp App.

Can it assist users in training smarter rather than just harder?

The Balance Ultra is centered around Amazfit’s Hybrid Training System, which provides users with a better understanding of their body's readiness for subsequent workouts. Rather than just recording completed sessions, the watch considers training load, recovery, and lifestyle signals to guide users on whether to intensify their efforts or take it easy.

Amazfit enhances this experience with features like BioCharge, LifeLoad, Training Load, Weekly Focus, Training Balance, and Hybrid Training Plans. BioCharge offers insights into energy levels throughout the day, while LifeLoad assesses the impact of stress and daily activities. Training Balance and Weekly Focus help contextualize recent workouts, ensuring users comprehend how their sleep, stress, and fitness metrics interrelate.

The watch also includes official HYROX tools, featuring training plans, race simulations, virtual pace assistance, and post-race analysis, making it particularly relevant for users involved in running, strength training, endurance activities, and gym competition formats.

What additional features does the Balance Ultra provide?

The hardware of the Balance Ultra is more advanced than Amazfit’s typical fitness watches. It features a Grade 5 titanium case, sapphire glass for protection, 10ATM water resistance, and a 1.5-inch AMOLED display with a brightness of up to 3,000 nits. It also supports dual-band GPS, six-satellite positioning, offline maps, route guidance, Bluetooth calling, Zepp Flow voice control, voice notes, music storage, apps, and contactless payments.

Battery life is one of its standout attributes. The company claims that the Balance Ultra can last up to 30 days with regular usage, up to 10 days with the always-on display activated, and up to 50 hours with GPS constantly on. The Amazfit Balance Ultra is available for $599.99 on Amazfit.com.
