NVIDIA's forthcoming N1-series processors were officially set to be unveiled, but a recent leak seems to have preempted the announcement by revealing details a day ahead of schedule. New specifications provided by an insider from VideoCardz highlight not just the top-tier N1X chip, but also several other variants, indicating that Nvidia is gearing up for a more extensive foray into the PC processor market than initially anticipated.

The standout feature is the N1X, which is said to resemble the configuration of Nvidia’s GB10 chip found in the DGX Spark AI system. However, it's the more affordable N1 models that could make the greatest impact if Nvidia aims to introduce Arm-based processors into mainstream laptops.

The N1X appears to be a true flagship

The leaked details indicate that the high-end N1X is equipped with a 20-core CPU configuration that combines Cortex-X925 and Cortex-A725 cores. On the graphics front, it is reported to scale up to 48 Streaming Multiprocessors, equating to 6,144 CUDA cores. A slightly diminished version is expected to feature 40 SMs and 5,120 CUDA cores. Both models operate within a 45W to 80W power range, positioning them within the realm typically occupied by high-end gaming laptop processors.

Memory capabilities are equally impressive. The N1X is rumored to accommodate up to 128GB of LPDDR5X memory and offer sufficient PCIe connectivity for multiple high-speed storage solutions. On paper, it appears to be a robust workstation-class platform.

The standard N1 could be the key player

While flagship processors often steal the spotlight, the standard N1 might be the most significant chip. The leaked configurations suggest 12-core and 10-core variants paired with much smaller GPU configurations, with CUDA core counts ranging from 2,048 to 2,560. These chips are reportedly designed for an 18W to 45W power range, placing them firmly in the thin-and-light laptop segment. These machines typically emphasize battery longevity, AI features, and portability rather than maximum gaming performance.

This strategic positioning may allow the N1 to serve as Nvidia’s response to the increasing trend of Arm-powered PCs being promoted by companies like Qualcomm. Notably, at least one of the leaked presentation slides appears to be from 2024, hinting that Nvidia has been quietly working on these processors for some time. The company is poised to unveil the N1 series soon, and even if not every leaked variant goes to market, the roadmap clearly indicates that Nvidia's aspirations in the PC space extend well beyond a single flagship chip.

AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 GRE claims strong performance at 1440p, though $549 might be a tough sell.

The Radeon RX 9070 GRE has officially been launched worldwide at Computex 2026, following its introduction in China in May 2025, making this a broader release rather than the debut of a completely new graphics card. It will be available from board partners starting June 2, in both standard and overclocked versions, with a recommended retail price of $549.

Windows 11 is finally tackling major frustrations with its universal Search system.

Partial terms will now identify file names that contain the search term anywhere within, not just at the beginning, which is a useful update.

If you’ve ever entered a file name into Windows Search but paused midway because you could only recall part of it, Microsoft has addressed this with a new feature. In its latest Insider Preview build for Windows 11, Microsoft has added a focused yet highly beneficial enhancement to the way Windows Search locates files. It’s one of those updates that raises the question of why it took so long to implement.
