The more substantial change could be Apple's revamp of the Shortcuts app, enabling users to create automations merely by articulating their requests in natural language rather than constructing commands manually. For instance, users may instruct Siri to automatically summarize PDFs, manage calendars, or initiate smart home actions without the need to set up workflows themselves.

The timing of these enhancements is crucial, as Apple faces increasing pressure to react to swift AI developments from Google, Samsung, OpenAI, and Microsoft. Apple's approach to AI has been more cautious and slower compared to many of its rivals.
