Logitech’s latest G512 X gaming keyboard combines top-tier performance with extensive customization options.
Logitech G has introduced a new keyboard designed for gamers who consider their desk setup an important aspect of their gaming experience. The G512 X TMR Analog/Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is ideal for those who like to meticulously adjust every element of their equipment, from keypress responses to lighting effects on the desk. It features analog control, interchangeable switches, programmable functions, dual dials, and an eye-catching RGB lightbar, all integrated into one highly customizable device.

What level of control can a single keypress provide?
The standout feature is the TMR-enabled analog input. Unlike most keyboards that trigger a command at a predetermined point, the G512 X can detect how far a key is pressed down, offering players enhanced control over specific actions.
For instance, in a racing game, a light keypress could facilitate gentle steering or acceleration, whereas a firmer press could activate a stronger response. In flight simulators, this same concept contributes to smoother movements. In shooting games, players can establish layered commands based on how far they press a key.

Moreover, users can configure two actions to a single keypress using the Multipoint Action feature via the Logitech G HUB software. A gentle press can execute one command, while a firmer press can trigger another. The keyboard includes Second Actuation Pressure Point rings (SAPP), providing a tactile feedback at the second trigger point, enabling players to feel when the secondary input is about to register rather than relying solely on timing.
How customizable is it?
The G512 X accommodates both analog and mechanical switches through its hybrid switch beds, allowing users to choose which keys utilize analog input and which maintain a conventional mechanical configuration. The keyboard supports various popular analog switches, as well as both 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical options.
It comes with nine Gateron KS-20 analog switches, five SAPP rings, and keycap removal tools. Additionally, Logitech has incorporated storage on the keyboard's backside for these small accessories when not in use.

Two customizable dials can be assigned different functions, such as volume control, scrolling, brightness, or in-game commands. The RGB lightbar provides a more dynamic appearance with slash-style lighting effects, and buyers have the option to purchase an acrylic palm rest, which can synchronize with the keyboard's RGB lights.
The G512 X is available in black and white. It will be available on LogitechG.com starting April 28, 2026, with select global retailers offering it from May 2. The pricing begins at $179.99 for the 75 layout and $199.99 for the 98 layout.
