Spotify aims to become your fitness coach by offering guided workout sessions.
Spotify has discreetly developed a fitness platform within the app you’re already familiar with, and its partnership with Peloton enhances its appeal beyond expectations.
Spotify has dedicated almost 20 years to helping users discover the ideal music tracks for their workout routines. Starting today, it will also support your workouts with guided audio or video sessions.
The music streaming leader has officially introduced Spotify Fitness, a completely new feature that integrates guided workout experiences directly into the Spotify app, with no extra subscription fees required.
What exactly is Spotify Fitness?
The Spotify app now features a Fitness hub, which can be accessed by searching for “fitness” or navigating through the Browse All section. As part of its venture into the fitness domain, both free and Premium users can enjoy curated workout playlists and content from well-known wellness creators.
However, what Premium users can access is making headlines. They will have entry to over 1,400 ad-free, on-demand fitness classes, thanks to Spotify's new collaboration with Peloton. These classes cover various activity and exercise types, including strength training, cardio, yoga, and meditation.
Spotify Premium subscribers will be able to engage with instructors such as Rebecca Kennedy, Ally Love, and Rap Lopez, with no Peloton equipment required for any guided session. This means that the fitness library is available to anyone using the streaming app on a smartphone, computer, or TV.
How easily can you access Spotify Fitness across devices?
You can start a video class on your TV, switch to audio-only mode on your phone during a run, and then cool down with guided recovery using a smartphone speaker, all without changing apps. The fitness classes can be downloaded for offline use, so you won’t have to skip leg day due to unreliable gym Wi-Fi.
Spotify claims that nearly 70% of its Premium subscribers engage in physical fitness monthly, making it a smart decision to offer them guided sessions and curated playlists through the app.
To me, Spotify’s foray into fitness feels less like a launch and more like a strategic move into territory already filled by fitness apps like Apple Fitness+, which iPhone users know requires a separate subscription. Unlike Apple Fitness, which isn’t part of the Apple Music subscription, Spotify’s Fitness service provides two offerings for one subscription.

Bowers & Wilkins Px8 S2, Px7 S3, and Pi8 are getting new colors, making them perfect for summer.
Bowers & Wilkins is celebrating the warmer months by introducing a new array of colors for its top headphone and earbud models. The British audio brand has launched new finishes for three of its most popular products—Px8 S2, Px7 S3, and Pi8—expanding the total to 21 variations. Despite the added color options, the audio quality that established Bowers & Wilkins as a favorite among audiophiles remains unchanged.
Fire TV Stick HD has quietly debuted with an adapter, but it's not fully ready for prime time.
Amazon is set to launch an updated Fire TV Stick HD on April 29 for $35. For the first time, a Fire TV Stick is replacing the Micro-USB with a USB-C port. This change led Amazon to release a new USB-C Ethernet Adapter for $20, which has an interesting claim in its product description.
It states speeds of "up to 480 Mbps," suggesting the adapter is technically capable of Gigabit speeds. However, there is no Ethernet standard between 100 Mbps and Gigabit, so the only way to achieve 480 Mbps is via a Gigabit adapter, which Amazon is not promoting directly.
Apple TV 4K might finally progress beyond being just a streaming box.
The Apple TV 4K has consistently been one of Apple’s more stable products. Updates have enhanced performance and added features, but the overall user experience has remained largely unchanged. It has been dependable, refined, and expected. That may not be the case for much longer.
