OnePlus' compact flagship is possibly gearing up to make its exit from China. The OnePlus 15T was introduced as the latest premium “small” powerhouse from the brand, and recent rumors suggest that its global version, the OnePlus 15s, could be launched internationally soon.
The OnePlus 15s is expected to debut in India by the end of Q2 2026 or in early Q3, likely based on the China-exclusive OnePlus 15T. This information comes from tipster Debayan Roy, who indicated that the device could follow a similar pattern to last year when the China-only OnePlus 13T was launched in India later as the OnePlus 13s.
What’s attracting attention to this compact flagship?
The OnePlus 15s is anticipated to serve as a rebranded version of the OnePlus 15T for the global market and is likely to feature many of its key characteristics. To recap, the 15T includes a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a dual 50MP rear camera configuration with a 3.5x periscope lens, and an IP69K waterproof rating.
However, the most notable aspect may be its battery. The OnePlus 15T is equipped with an impressive 7,500mAh battery, supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging, which is considerable for a device of this size. For comparison, the Galaxy S26 features a smaller 4,300mAh battery in a similarly sized form factor.
If these specs carry over to the OnePlus 15s, it could become one of the most compelling compact flagships available.
Why the full global launch remains uncertain
Currently, this is merely a rumored launch for India, not an extensive global release. The OnePlus 13s was limited to India and did not see a release in the US or Europe. Additionally, since OnePlus has not confirmed the device, questions surrounding its global release remain. Pricing details are also unclear, as the leak only suggests a potential starting price of around Rs 58,000 (roughly $619) in India, based on the pricing of the 15T in China.
OnePlus needs to take a step further this time and consider a launch in markets like the US, where genuinely compact flagships are surprisingly uncommon.
