You can now request ChatGPT to help you discover your next movie or TV show on Tubi.
Finding free movies has become simpler! Tubi is now integrated within ChatGPT.
Browsing through a streaming library for something to watch can be quite draining. However, Tubi has resolved this issue. The free streaming platform is now part of ChatGPT, becoming the first video streaming service to be integrated in this way.
Starting today, you can request movie and TV show suggestions from Tubi's library directly through ChatGPT and begin watching in just seconds, all without leaving the chat window.
How to utilize Tubi within ChatGPT?
Using it is simple on both desktop and mobile devices. On desktop, click “Apps” in the ChatGPT sidebar, search for Tubi, and connect. On mobile, tap the plus icon near the prompt bar, select Explore Apps, search for Tubi, and connect.
Once linked, you can type @Tubi or start your message with “Using Tubi, recommend…” followed by your preferences. Your requests can range from broad topics to specific genres, such as lesser-known comedies or films featuring your favorite action stars.
ChatGPT will search Tubi’s collection and provide results in a matter of seconds. If the first set of recommendations does not quite match your taste, you can refine your request by saying things like “make it scarier” or “suggest something shorter.”
From ChatGPT’s recommendations to viewing on Tubi
Once you find something appealing, a “Watch on Tubi” button will take you directly to the app and begin playback without needing any additional searching.
Including more details in your prompt will yield better results. Mentioning a few titles you already enjoy and asking for something similar is a great way to optimize your experience.
ChatGPT launched its app store last December and has been steadily expanding its offerings since. Currently, it features apps for services like Apple Music, Zillow, Spotify, and Canva.
With Tubi now active as the first streaming app in ChatGPT’s expanding ecosystem, the next question is how long it will take for platforms like Netflix and Disney Plus to join.
