      Finding an excellent podcast has traditionally been more challenging than locating a great song. The process of discovering music is supported by algorithms, charts, and years of development. However, podcasts, with their vast archives and thousands of new releases each week, have always been tougher to navigate.

      Now, Spotify is directly addressing that issue. Starting today, the company's Prompted Playlist feature, which was introduced earlier this year for music in the US and Canada, is now being extended to podcasts. This feature is currently in beta for Premium users in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Sweden, with English as the only supported language at this time.

      The Prompted Playlist is an AI-driven feature that allows you to describe what you want to hear in simple terms, and it then creates a personalized playlist based on your request. To get started, you just tap “Create” in the app and choose Prompted Playlist.

      Next, you enter your request. For example, you could ask for a playlist featuring highly rated true crime series filled with twists, a collection of the latest entertainment news about music and movies, or an in-depth exploration of science and unusual discoveries.

      Spotify’s algorithm then utilizes your listening history, along with real-time indicators such as current trends and charts, to generate a playlist that feels both tailored to you and up-to-date.

      How to personalize your Spotify Prompted Playlist for podcasts?

      You can modify your prompt or start anew at any point, giving you complete control over your playlist's content. Each episode included in your playlist comes with a brief explanation of its relevance, so you understand the reasoning behind the selections instead of just receiving a random assortment.

      Additionally, you can set your playlist to update daily or weekly to ensure it remains fresh, with the flexibility to choose specific days for weekly updates.
