      Finding an excellent podcast has historically been more challenging than discovering a great song. The music industry benefits from advanced algorithms, charts, and years of development, while podcasts, with extensive back catalogs and numerous new programs launched weekly, have posed more navigation difficulties.

      Spotify is now addressing this issue head-on. As of today, the Prompted Playlist feature, which debuted earlier this year for music in the US and Canada, is now being extended to podcasts. This feature is currently in beta for Premium users in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Sweden, though it is available only in English for the time being.

      The Prompted Playlist is an AI-driven feature that allows users to express what they want to listen to in straightforward terms, then curates a personalized playlist based on that input. To start, simply tap “Create” in the app and choose Prompted Playlist.

      Next, you type your request. You could request a playlist full of highly-rated true crime series with unexpected twists, the latest entertainment news about music and films, or an exploration of science and quirky discoveries.

      Spotify's algorithm utilizes your listening history along with real-time indicators such as trends and charts to create something that is both relevant and tailored to you.

      How can you customize your Spotify Prompted Playlist for podcasts?

      You have the flexibility to modify your prompt or start anew at any time, giving you complete control over the composition of your playlist. Each episode included in your playlist comes with a brief explanation of its relevance, so you can understand how it connects to your request rather than receiving a random compilation.

      Additionally, you can set your playlist to update daily or weekly, preventing it from becoming stale, with options to select specific days for weekly refreshes.
