Your Pixel 10 can now somewhat run Steam games offline.
Steam games are now operable locally through GameNative.
Smartphones emulating gaming consoles isn't a new concept, but the Pixel 10 has accomplished something quite remarkable. It can now run complete Steam PC games directly on the device. Offline. On a smartphone.
And no, this isn’t about cloud streaming or remote desktop solutions. This is true local emulation, and for Pixel users, it's a significant advancement.
Pixel 10 can now effectively run Steam games (finally)
The major breakthrough is due to GameNative 0.9.0, which introduces initial support for the Pixel 10’s PowerVR GPU—a component that many Android PC emulators have previously overlooked. Historically, Android emulation has been optimized for Snapdragon chips equipped with Adreno GPUs, providing minimal support for Mali and almost none for PowerVR. This update finally reestablishes Pixel devices in the conversation about emulation.
With this update, users can run popular Steam games like Hades and Stardew Valley locally without needing an internet connection after setup. The upgrade also includes several notable enhancements, such as desktop-mode support for a more PC-like experience on external screens, improved compatibility for keyboards and mice, integration with Steam Workshop, and better management of downloads and storage.
However, this is still a pre-release version, so users may encounter bugs, crashes, and performance issues during use.
This isn’t merely a neat trick
At first glance, this may appear as just another emulator upgrade. However, it addresses a longstanding problem where Pixel phones lagged in emulation due to inadequate GPU support. With GameNative resolving this issue, Pixel users are back in the mix, and this change represents a more significant shift than it initially seems. It also suggests a future where smartphones can genuinely support PC-level gaming given the right configurations.
We aren’t quite there yet, but this marks real progress. If early builds can achieve this, the prospect of using your phone as a Steam machine doesn’t seem too far-fetched anymore.

Digital detox dining is transforming social interactions in America
A growing number of bars and restaurants across the U.S. are adopting a phone-free approach, reflecting a broader cultural movement aimed at reducing screen time and fostering genuine in-person connections. From high-end dining clubs to local cocktail bars, various establishments are implementing policies to limit phone usage or actively promote putting devices away.
Central to this trend is an increasing awareness of the negative impacts that smartphones and social media can have on attention, memory, and personal relationships. Research consistently indicates how constant digital connectivity affects learning, socialization, and even self-esteem. With Americans reportedly checking their phones around 144 times a day and dedicating nearly 4.5 hours to their devices, the response against screen dependency is gaining momentum.
