It has been reported that Apple's initial foldable iPhone has entered trial production.
Apple may have made significant progress toward the iPhone Fold.
A new rumor regarding Apple's foldable iPhone has emerged, focusing on its production process. A recent report from China cites sources from Zhongzheng Jinniuzuo and the supply chain, suggesting that Foxconn has commenced preliminary production.
When can we expect the iPhone Fold?
The report indicates that Apple has set shipping goals for suppliers, hinting at a launch window for the device in the latter half of 2026. However, this doesn’t imply that the foldable iPhone is ready for mass production at this time. The upcoming foldable device is anticipated to be a larger book-style format rather than a clamshell, aligning more closely with the concept of Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold series.
What do the rumors imply?
It appears that Apple is not only introducing a new line of iPhones but is also working on associated software that may evolve in sync with the hardware. ITHome reports that iOS 27 is likely to feature foldable-specific enhancements, including split-screen support, multitasking capabilities, and a user interface resembling that of an iPad. As with any leaks, it’s wise to remain skeptical until there’s an official announcement from Apple.
According to previous leaks, Apple’s first foldable iPhone is expected to have a 7.7-inch main folding display and a 5.3-inch cover screen. Notably, it may feature a crease-free main display similar to the Oppo Find N6, though any crease could be minimized rather than completely eliminated.
As of now, none of this has been confirmed. Apple has not made any announcements regarding a foldable iPhone. Nonetheless, if trial production has indeed started at Foxconn, it would be a significant indication that Apple’s goals for a foldable device are progressing toward realization.

Your favorite apps may be tracking you — the FBI’s warning isn’t as straightforward as it seems
There’s a certain reassurance in downloading an app that millions already use. If it’s popular, leading charts, and prominently featured in your feed, it must be safe… right? Not necessarily. A new alert from the FBI points out that some of the most widely-used apps on your smartphone — yes, the ones you casually downloaded during a late-night scrolling session — might be collecting far more data than you intended to share. This concern isn’t restricted to one country; it’s a global issue and may be more relevant to you than it appears.
If Samsung introduces a Galaxy S27 Pro, just the name won’t be enough
Samsung doesn’t require just another name. It needs a more effective in-between flagship.
New rumors have reignited discussions about a possible Galaxy Pro flagship phone, and this makes sense for reasons that aren’t entirely positive. Samsung may add a fourth Galaxy S27 model next year, with a "Pro" variant expected to serve as a bridge between the standard and the high-end S27 Ultra. This model would essentially fill the gap between the standard and Ultra Galaxy phones, offering premium features without the S Pen. Some of these upscale features could include the new Privacy Display feature from the S26 Ultra.
Some of Samsung's exciting new Galaxy S26 AI features will also be available on the S25.
Samsung is reportedly not keeping all of the latest Galaxy AI innovations exclusive to the Galaxy S26 series. The company has confirmed that it is working on a software update that will bring over the newer AI features first seen in the recent flagship lineup.
