The Pixel 11 has appeared in early leak reports, showcasing a familiar cyclops design for Google's upcoming device.
Android Headlines
Google's Pixel 11 series is only five months away, and leaks are already surfacing. The initial CAD renders caught my attention because, at first glance, it appears that not much has changed. However, a closer inspection of the display reveals that the bezels are finally becoming slimmer. If these renders are precise, this would be a stylish upgrade in terms of design. And this is just the beginning; there is much more information that has leaked, so get ready for an exciting journey ahead.
What’s new this time?
Android Headlines
While the design may seem dated, it appears that Google won’t be presenting a lackluster flagship. According to the latest leak, the Pixel 11 will utilize sixth-generation in-house Tensor silicon with a distinctive 7-core architecture, accompanied by 12GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
A notable change is Google's decision to replace the Samsung modem with a MediaTek networking chip. We can only hope that this shift resolves the enduring connectivity issues the Pixel lineup has faced. On the front, users will find a 6.3-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Interestingly, details regarding the camera hardware have not been disclosed. Google has been using 50-megapixel and 48-megapixel sensors for several years. I am hopeful that the Pixel 11 series (especially the Pro models) will finally upgrade to cameras with higher megapixel counts or larger sensors. Without this, they may struggle against formidable competitors like the Vivo X300 Ultra and Oppo Find X9 Ultra unless Google achieves some remarkable computational photography feats.
The countdown to the Pixel 11 has started
Android Headlines
The Google Pixel 11, like its predecessors, is anticipated to launch in August 2026. Although no official release date has been announced yet, that timeline seems appropriate. In terms of pricing, the Pixel 11 is likely to remain close to the Pixel 10’s $799 price point.
Here’s where it gets intriguing. It would be fantastic if Google finally moved away from the 128GB base model and established 256GB as the standard, similar to what Apple has done with the iPhone 17 and Samsung with the Galaxy S26. Given that apps, photos, and videos continue to grow in size each year, a bit more storage is increasingly essential. If Google accomplishes this, the Pixel 11 could feel not only familiar but also thoughtfully enhanced.

Apple’s anonymous email feature isn’t quite as anonymous as you might believe
Apple's Hide My Email feature is excellent, but don’t expect it to safeguard you from law enforcement
Apple's Hide My Email feature has consistently been a reliable privacy tool for everyday life. iCloud+ subscribers can utilize randomly generated email addresses that forward messages to their real inbox, helping users keep their actual address hidden from various apps or websites. Apple also claims that it does not read the forwarded messages.
This makes it a useful tool that effectively reduces spam by creating separation between you and any questionable service requesting your email address.

Smartphones with a 185Hz refresh rate are on the horizon, but the US will miss out again
We’ve witnessed refresh rates of 120Hz, 144Hz, 165Hz, and now an incredible 185Hz on smartphones. The iQOO 16 is rumored to leap from 144Hz on the iQOO 15 directly to 185Hz. With a stunning 2K OLED panel, this phone is going to provide an exceptionally smooth experience. It’s somewhat disappointing that the US won’t have the opportunity to see it.
