Vivo X300 Ultra is designed to take the place of your camera, rather than just serve as your smartphone.
With an impressive 200MP telephoto camera and professional-grade features, Vivo is redefining the landscape of smartphone photography.
Vivo has officially launched its latest high-end flagship, the X300 Ultra, which is as ambitious as the previews indicated. This device emphasizes photography, featuring a camera system designed to compete with dedicated cameras rather than other flagship smartphones like the Galaxy S26 Ultra. With a large high-resolution zoom lens and a versatile focal length configuration, Vivo presents this as a camera phone without compromises.
What makes the Vivo X300 Ultra unique?
The X300 Ultra is undeniably centered on its camera capabilities, and Vivo is not holding back. It sports a Zeiss-supported triple-camera arrangement tailored for various shooting styles. The main camera is a 35mm “documentary” lens utilizing a 200MP Sony Lytia 901 sensor, complemented by a 14mm ultra-wide camera equipped with a 50MP Sony Lytia 818 sensor.
However, the highlight is the 85mm periscope telephoto camera featuring a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP0 sensor, which offers rapid autofocus, reduced power consumption, and a 3° gimbal-style optical image stabilization system. Additionally, Vivo introduces two new teleconverters for this camera: the 400mm 17.4x teleconverter named “Canon 400” and the 200mm 8.7x teleconverter called “Lipstic 200.”
Other noteworthy imaging capabilities include 4K video recording at up to 120fps, 10-bit Log video, and support for professional color workflows like ACES. Vivo also offers a new photography accessory called the Imaging Grip Kit, created in collaboration with SmallRig.
What other features does the X300 Ultra offer?
In addition to its cameras, the X300 Ultra is equipped with premium hardware. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, backed by up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The device includes a large 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision compatibility, and a 1440p resolution.
Battery performance is another significant highlight, as the X300 Ultra houses a 6,600mAh battery supporting 100W wired and 40W wireless fast charging. Furthermore, it boasts an IP68/69 rating for dust and water resistance, stereo speakers, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, and compatibility with the latest connectivity standards, including Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
The Vivo X300 Ultra will launch in three colors: black, silver, and green. It will first debut in China, followed by a global release later this year, marking the company’s first Ultra model to be available outside its home country. However, Vivo has not yet disclosed the timeline for the global launch or pricing information.
