DJI has made its entrance into the 360° drone market with the unveiling of the Avata 360. This marks the company's first fully immersive FPV drone, aimed directly at the Antigravity A1, a competing model from an Insta360-associated brand. The competition in the drone market just became even more exciting.

What makes the Avata 360 noteworthy?
A lot, actually. The Avata 360 is fitted with DJI’s 1-inch imaging sensor that can record videos in up to 8K at 60fps, putting it ahead of the Antigravity A1, which reaches a maximum of 8K at 30 fps. Additionally, it can capture 120MP images.
This latest drone from DJI features two switchable lenses, HDR video compatibility, and omnidirectional obstacle sensing. With integrated propeller guards, the drone is both capable and resilient to crashes, a reassuring aspect considering the current market prices.
On paper, DJI’s O4+ video transmission system provides the Avata 360 with a range of approximately 12.4 miles, which is genuinely more than most users would ever consider needing. It comes with DJI goggles and motion controllers for a fully immersive (and visually appealing) flight experience.
DJI
How does it compare to its competitors?
Other notable features include ActiveTrack 360, spotlight mode, intelligent tracking, one-tap editing, and a virtual gimbal that permits unlimited pan and tilt movements for cinematic visuals.
Flight duration is recorded at 23 minutes, just one minute less than the Antigravity A1’s 24 minutes; however, the Avata 360 takes the lead in storage capacity, boasting 42GB of internal storage compared to the A1's 20GB.
The pricing for the DJI Avata 360 starts at €459 for the drone-only option, while the Fly More combo is priced at €939. Pre-orders are currently available in Europe, with shipping set to commence on April 26, 2026. Similar to DJI’s recent product launches, the Avata 360 will also be available through third-party retailers such as Amazon.

I transferred all my conversations from other AI applications to Gemini—and everything worked seamlessly. You know those moments when AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude seem to lose coherence mid-conversation and start generating nonsensical responses as if they’re completely confident? It’s a mix of amusing and frustrating. I usually find myself switching between apps to see if one of them can manage it correctly. The real issue, though, is having to begin the conversation anew every time. It feels like I’m endlessly narrating my life story to different AIs sequentially. Now, with Gemini, I can transition from other AI platforms without having to reset the conversation. Finally, it seems the Google gods have smiled upon us. I gave it a try expecting the usual issues, but it was surprisingly smooth and quick.
Google is taking another significant step toward transforming Search into a comprehensive AI assistant. The company has officially launched Search Live globally, making this feature accessible in over 200 countries and regions, along with support for multiple languages.
Your VR headset is soon going to allow you to experience smells in virtual environments.
Virtual Reality offers an incredibly immersive experience and has advanced significantly since its inception, now providing sharp visuals paired with surround sound. However, the sense of smell has long remained an uncharted territory. Given its vital role in human experience, its absence in VR is a noticeable gap. Fortunately, researchers at the Institute of Science Tokyo, in collaboration with Rakuten Mobile, have created a wearable device that integrates scents into the VR experience. This device can mix up to eight different aromas in real time, delivering them in sync with your virtual surroundings.
