The forthcoming Motorola Razr 70 foldable may receive an enhancement in camera and memory capabilities.
Motorola has yet to make an official statement, but TENAA has shared some information. Here's what we can expect from the upcoming Razr 70 clamshell foldable device.
Despite Motorola's silence, the Chinese certification body TENAA (via Gadgets360) has revealed details about the Motorola Razr 70 under the model number XT2657-2, and the listing provides ample information about what’s on the horizon — if you're into scanning certification databases during your morning routine.
The Razr 70 stands to improve significantly in the camera department. The Razr 60 featured a 50MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide that didn't quite match its price point. In contrast, the Razr 70 is reported to have both rear cameras at 50MP, with the secondary one anticipated to be a telephoto lens capable of 3x optical zoom. This constitutes a genuine camera upgrade rather than an afterthought on the spec sheet.
Additionally, the memory options receive a notable enhancement. The Razr 70 is expected to come with as much as 18GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage — specs that would firmly place it in the flagship category.
While Motorola hasn't disclosed details about the chipset yet, the listing indicates a clock speed of 2.75GHz, surpassing the Razr 60’s 2.6GHz Dimensity 7400X. Although the difference may seem minor, it could be significant, particularly when opening demanding applications.
In terms of displays and battery, the Razr 70 largely maintains a familiar design. It sports a 6.9-inch OLED inner display and a 3.63-inch cover screen, which are similar to its predecessor's dimensions, suggesting that Motorola is preserving the form factor while enhancing the internal specifications. The battery capacity remains around 4,500mAh, and at 188 grams and 7.2mm in thickness, its size is nearly identical to the Razr 60. Since the Razr 60 was launched in April 2025, a similar release window for the Razr 70 is anticipated, indicating that an official announcement could be imminent.
For those in search of a capable clamshell foldable without the exorbitant prices of Samsung's Z Flip series, this device appears to be shaping up to be worth the anticipation.
