Samsung's ideas featured an OLED display on a classroom robot and retro music equipment.
OLED screens are ubiquitous, appearing in everything from TVs and headsets to classroom robots and audio equipment.
Every year, Samsung's display division showcases concept devices featuring innovative screens, some of which eventually transition into mass-market products. For instance, the dual folding concept introduced in 2021 only became the Galaxy Z TriFold in late 2025. At CES 2026, Samsung is once again offering a sneak peek into the future.
Robots also deserve OLED displays
At CES 2026, Samsung is highlighting OLED innovations and their potential applications across various devices. One notable example is the AI OLED Bot, a robotic companion equipped with a large 13.4-inch circular display and AI conversational abilities. It has two curved arms, although their specific functions remain unclear.
Samsung envisions this robot as a "teaching assistant in a university setting, helping students find classrooms and providing information such as professor profiles." However, as this is merely a concept, it’s uncertain whether Samsung will bring it to market.
Considering Samsung's previous experience with the Ballie AI companion robot, which debuted in 2020 and was anticipated to launch in 2024 (yet remains unavailable as of 2026), it's wise not to get too excited about the AI OLED Bot. It is an intriguing concept, and with Samsung even integrating screens and AI into their refrigerators, this project might have better chances than Ballie.
Preparing OLED for the future
Samsung is also exploring the retro music instrument market with OLED enhancements. The cleverly named AI OLED Cassette features a 1.5-inch round OLED display—actually two displays—while its size resembles a cassette player more than an actual cassette.
Additionally, there's the AI OLED Turntable, which substitutes the traditional vinyl record with a large 13.4-inch round OLED screen. This shift eliminates typical turntable components like the tonearm and counterweight, resulting in a device that's merely a silhouette of a turntable. Samsung argues that this represents a merger of advanced display technology with vintage analog designs.
Furthermore, Samsung is presenting a head-mounted wearable concept featuring next-generation micro displays for XR devices, such as smart glasses and headsets. These 1.4-inch RGB OLEDoS units boast an impressive pixel density of 5,000 PPI, nearly three times higher than that of an average 4K TV.

Google's new Disco browser demonstrates how AI could reshape online productivity.
With the GenTabs feature, Disco creates interactive web applications to streamline tasks. Google’s vision for an AI-driven browsing experience goes beyond merely integrating Gemini into Chrome, and its latest experiment provides a clear look at future possibilities. Disco, an innovative AI browser from Google Labs, is intended as a "discovery platform for Google Labs to test future web ideas." While it is built on Chromium and shares many common features with Chrome, its distinctiveness lies in its capability to create "interactive web applications" by merging information from multiple tabs to enhance user task efficiency.
OpenAI has recently launched GPT-5.2, the latest version of its prominent AI model series, designed to compete with Google's Gemini 3. This updated model is aimed at being faster and more intelligent, with enhanced reasoning and improved management of lengthy documents. It will be available to ChatGPT's paid subscribers within the Plus, Pro, Team, and Enterprise plans, and to developers via API. OpenAI offers GPT-5.2 in three variations: GPT-5.2 Instant, GPT-5.2 Thinking, and GPT-5.2 Pro (is it just me, or do these names bear resemblance to the Gemini models?).
If you've been considering venturing into 3D printing without a large machine overtaking your workspace, this deal might be just right. The Bambu Lab A1 mini 3D printer is currently priced at $199.99, reduced from its usual price of $249.99, presenting an attractive opportunity for beginners, hobbyists, or anyone seeking a compact, efficient printer for home projects.
