AFEELA now offers PS Remote Play, allowing you to enjoy your PlayStation 5 while parked.
The feature allows the streaming of games from your home console to the cabin display of AFEELA, but Sony Honda Mobility (SHM) advises that a strong, stable broadband connection is essential.
Sony Honda Mobility (SHM) has announced that its AFEELA will support AFEELA PS Remote Play, enabling you to stream games from a PS5 or PS4 at home onto the car's integrated interface. SHM claims it is the first vehicle to incorporate PlayStation Remote Play directly into its infotainment system.
This feature is particularly appealing for those who have spent time waiting in a parking lot or during a lengthy pickup line. SHM states that the intention is to play while the vehicle is stationary or to entertain passengers on longer journeys by utilizing the cabin display and audio system instead of an external screen.
However, before you envision a flawless gaming experience in the car, the company highlights the primary limitation: your internet connection. SHM warns that Remote Play requires a minimum of 5Mbps broadband, with 15Mbps being ideal, and cautions that the feature might not be accessible depending on network conditions.
Remote Play, which is now integrated into the system
Remote Play functions by executing the game on your home console and transmitting the video stream to another device, while your inputs are sent back via the internet. SHM indicates that AFEELA serves as that "other device," with PS Remote Play incorporated into the in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) system.
Several important practical aspects are still unspecified, such as the sign-in process, the controller configuration, and whether SHM will restrict usage to parked vehicles only. Until further information is available, it should be viewed as a feature for downtime rather than something intended for use while driving.
The potential and its constraints
If you already possess a PS5 or PS4, the benefits are clear: your game library can travel with you without needing to transport the console. This aligns with SHM's broader strategy of promoting AFEELA based on cabin technology and experiences.
Nevertheless, streaming can be finicky. Even if you achieve a 15Mbps connection, uneven coverage may still lead to interruptions, session drops, or an inability to access the feature where you need it the most.
Upcoming deliveries and what to monitor
SHM connects this announcement to AFEELA 1, stating that deliveries are set to commence in California in 2026. This marks the transition of Remote Play from a show-floor demonstration to an evaluation based on day-to-day reliability.
If you're following AFEELA PS Remote Play, keep an eye out for details regarding rules for parked-only usage, supported controllers, pairing procedures, and any limitations related to data quality. For now, the prudent approach is to prioritize your signal just as much as your console.

I’ve considered the launch titles Sony needs for the PS6 to succeed in the next-generation console battle
Sony typically unveils something significant to kick off a new generation; here are my predictions
We are now halfway through the PlayStation 5 era, and the console boasts a rich library of must-play games across nearly every genre, with many more anticipated. As we continue to navigate our backlog, I look forward to what we might be playing on the PlayStation 6 at its launch. Sony's next-generation console is expected to be a formidable machine when it potentially releases in 2027, but that means little if we're still playing older PlayStation 5 titles on it. While there will always be gaps in our gaming history that can be filled with last-gen titles, Sony is known for launching something significant at the start of a new generation.
Your phone may one day evolve into a true Steam gaming device thanks to Valve
Valve is working on enabling full Windows PC games to run on ARM hardware.
What’s the latest? In a rare and highly technical interview, Valve has disclosed its efforts in funding and directing significant open-source projects to facilitate the proper functioning of Windows PC games on ARM chips. For those unfamiliar, ARM is the architecture used by phones, tablets, and many low-power devices, and Valve believes this could open up new possibilities for Steam beyond traditional PCs and handheld devices. The Verge's interview suggests that this initiative is not a minor experiment but a long-term strategy that has been developing quietly for years
