A genuinely everlasting case for the iPhone has arrived.
Your iPhone case doesn't have to be thrown away.
Gomi offers a unique solution for those tired of replacing their phone case every time they get a new iPhone. Rather than discarding your old case, the company encourages you to send it back. Gomi will recycle the old case, melting it down and crafting it into a new one that fits your updated phone, using the same recycled plastic rather than starting from scratch with new materials.
Designed for reuse, not disposal
The product is known as the Forever Phone Case, which is based on the concept that a phone case should outlast the phone itself. Each case is handcrafted in Brighton, UK, from 100% recycled plastic, ensuring that no two cases are identical.
When you're ready to upgrade your device or just want a new style, Gomi can reshape the material into a different case or even another Gomi product, keeping the plastic in circulation instead of sending it to a landfill.
The Forever Phone Case is currently available for pre-order at £55 (approximately $74), ahead of its launch in January 2026. If you decide to upgrade your phone later on, Gomi charges £20 (around $27) to remold the case for your new model.
Gomi also offers customization options for buyers. You can choose to add MagSafe compatibility for an additional fee. This option includes a ring of magnets inside the case to ensure that chargers, wallets, and docks align correctly. If you don't use MagSafe accessories, you can opt out of this feature.
Despite the emphasis on sustainability, Gomi assures that protection hasn’t been compromised. The case supports wireless charging and has undergone military-grade drop testing to withstand accidental falls. It also features raised edges to safeguard both the screen and camera.
There is no definitive end-of-life for the case, as Gomi will always accept it back and recycle the material, even if you don’t want another phone case. The company also has a 30-day return policy if the case does not meet your expectations.
The Forever Phone Case enters a competitive market filled with protective iPhone cases, iPhone 16 options, and iPhone 17 designs, along with a quirky case for the iPhone 17 Pro with selfie support. What distinguishes Gomi is not just its protection or design, but the notion that a case doesn't have to be disposable every time a new iPhone is released.

One allows AI to control your phone experience, while the other enables you to manage the AI experiences on your phone. Choose your champion!
For those who value software — not just updates, design, or flashy animations — there's an unspoken understanding. iPhones consistently provide a smoother experience. However, if innovation and flexibility are what you seek, Android is where the magic lies.
As we enter 2025, Android is clearly leading the charge in AI advancements — for good reason. Before you dismiss the topic of AI, let's clarify things. Your Android phone performs just fine without AI, but it's significantly enhanced with it.
Apple’s 20th anniversary iPhone may showcase a bold design that you will either love or hate.
The special-edition iPhone could come with an eye-catching new curved display.
After years of cautious design choices with the iPhone, Apple seems poised to explore new form factors and more daring designs. The company has already taken a step in this direction with the iPhone Air, and indications suggest that a foldable iPhone could be the next major development. Now, it appears that Apple's design evolution is about to become even more exciting.
According to The Information, Apple is planning to launch a special-edition iPhone for its 20th anniversary in the fall of 2027. Sources involved with the project have informed the publication that this model will "feature a front and back enclosure that curves around the device's edges, removing the black frame and increasing the screen size."
Your iPhone options might broaden, but Apple's Air plan is undergoing revisions.
Reports suggest that Apple is expanding the iPhone lineup, although the Air series is being redesigned due to disappointing sales.
Apple is purportedly re-evaluating the iPhone Air lineup while also looking to expand its iPhone offerings. A recent roadmap report from The Information indicates that Apple abruptly halted trial production for the second-generation iPhone Air last month and is now working on a redesign for the iPhone Air 2 following lackluster sales of the first model.
For potential buyers, this implies that the middle-tier option must be more justifiable. The report states that Apple is considering adding a second rear camera and lowering the retail price to make the next Air more appealing, though no specific price target is mentioned, and "iPhone Air 2" is referred to as a
