Looking for a durable phone that won’t break the bank? Meet the latest Moto.
The Moto G Power 2026 offers impressive battery life at an attractive price.
Motorola has launched the Moto G Power 2026 for those seeking a durable new smartphone without the high cost of the premium OnePlus 15.
The latest model from Motorola boasts remarkable battery performance, claiming it can last up to 49 hours (that's four days!) on a single charge of its 5,200mAh battery.
While this isn't the largest battery we've encountered in a phone this year – the OnePlus 15, for example, features a 7,300mAh battery – it does represent a 200mAh improvement over the batteries in the G Power 2025, G Power 2024, and G Power 5G (2023).
Whether the new G Power can indeed achieve 49 hours of usage remains to be confirmed – you'll have to wait for our full review – but this claim is certainly enticing for potential buyers, particularly with the price set at $300.
More than just a large battery
However, the Moto G Power has a strong specifications list relative to its price. It features a 6.8-inch FHD+ display and a 120Hz refresh rate, which will appeal to mobile gamers as well as users who prefer smooth scrolling.
The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, complemented by 8GB of RAM, which can be expanded to 24GB using Moto’s RAM Boost feature. It comes with 128GB of internal storage and includes a microSD slot – a somewhat uncommon feature in today's smartphone market – supporting cards up to 1TB.
Additionally, the G Power 2026 is equipped with Dolby Atmos-enhanced stereo speakers and hi-res audio support. On the rear, it features a 50MP AI-enhanced main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and an ambient light sensor.
Motorola
Motorola also claims the phone offers “360-degree protection” against everyday wear and tear, including drops, scratches, and environmental factors, as well as IP68/69 dust and water resistance.
The Moto G Power will be available for purchase starting January 8, priced at $299.99 in two color options: Pantone Evening Blue and Pantone Pure Cashmere. It will be sold unlocked through Best Buy, Amazon.com, and motorola.com, and will also be available through Verizon.
In the coming months, the G Power 2026 will be offered at Cricket Wireless, Tracfone, Visible, Total Wireless, Straight Talk, Simple Mobile, and AT&T.

Your next Samsung Galaxy A series phone may have a higher price.
Rumors of a price increase in India have led to speculation about the pricing of the next-generation Galaxy A series models.
Samsung's upcoming devices could see price hikes, potentially extending beyond the flagship Galaxy S26 series. A report from earlier last month suggested that rising costs of key components like SoCs, camera modules, and RAM could prompt the company to increase the prices of its next-gen flagships. Additionally, a recent tip indicates that Samsung may raise the prices of existing Galaxy A models in one market, which raises concerns that the next-gen A series devices might face similar increases.
According to a recent post by tipster Abhishek Yadav on X (via SamMobile), Samsung allegedly plans to increase the price of the Galaxy A56 in India by INR 2,000 (approximately $22). Other models in the Galaxy A series might also see a price increase of INR 1,000 (about $11). There have been no reports of similar increases planned for other markets, and Samsung has not confirmed anything, but the tip has ignited speculation about potential higher pricing for upcoming Galaxy A series devices.

Here's what to expect from Samsung's offerings at CES 2026.
One of the major companies to keep an eye on during CES 2026, which begins on January 6, is Samsung. In fact, it might be wise to mark your calendars for an earlier date: the Korean brand’s press conference takes place on January 4, ahead of CES.
This is not the event where we'll see the Samsung Galaxy S26 family, nor the Galaxy Tab S12, Buds 4, Watch 9, or any other highly anticipated mobile devices from the brand. These are likely to be unveiled later in January or February, but what Samsung showcases may be just as intriguing.
