      What’s the update? Microsoft recently increased the prices of not just the Xbox consoles, but also its Game Pass subscription. Currently, there are reports that the consoles may face another price hike. According to Moore’s Law is Dead (MLID), Microsoft is preparing to increase the prices of the Xbox Series X and Series S yet again due to a growing worldwide shortage of DRAM and GDDR memory modules. These memory chips are being increasingly secured by large AI and data-center contracts, which limits availability for consumer devices such as gaming consoles. Reports suggest that Microsoft has already notified some retail partners about a “serious RAM shortage” that might affect Xbox hardware “very soon.”
