Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun — Words of Vengeance is a new free-to-play typing action game available on Steam. It invites players to input words and phrases from the Warhammer 40K universe in order to fight their way through an enemy-filled environment featuring graphics reminiscent of Doom. The game was unveiled today during the Warhammer Skulls 2025 games festival, alongside other titles like Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy I and an expansion for Space Marine 2.
While a typing game may not seem difficult, spelling in the year 40,000 is quite unpredictable. Just consider the protagonist’s name: Malum Caedo. Boltgun: Words of Vengeance is currently playable on Steam, but be cautioned: one typographical error could lead to failure.
Several classic Warhammer titles are making a comeback through remastered versions. Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War is set to receive a Definitive Edition that will feature all its expansions and enhanced visuals. Following the popularity of Space Marine 2, the original Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is returning as the Master Crafted Edition.
In terms of new releases, Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy is an upcoming RPG by Owlcat Games, the creators of the acclaimed Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. Fans of classic shooters can look forward to more action with Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun II, a sequel launching on Steam, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5. Additionally, a new mobile grand strategy game titled Supremacy: Warhammer 40,000 is available for pre-registration on Android.
Players seeking a Twisted Metal-like experience can try out Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks, a combat racing game now exiting early access on Steam. Space Marine II will also feature a new Horde mode, while additional content has been introduced to a variety of existing Warhammer games, including Tacticus, Vermintide II, Battlesector, Gladius, Blood Bowl III, and more.

Acer’s Nitro XV2 is the quickest 1440p gaming monitor we've ever encountered.
Acer is preparing to launch a new monitor that is likely to make it onto many lists of top gaming displays. As part of the popular Acer Nitro series, the new XV272U KF offers something many other monitors lack—a remarkably fast refresh rate paired with a 1440p resolution. Specifically, it boasts a 300Hz refresh rate, an unprecedented feature.
The catch? It's not exactly affordable.
Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny remaster demonstrates that gaming isn't produced like it used to be.
“They don’t make them like they used to.” As a film enthusiast, there is no phrase that elicits more eye-rolls from me than this one. For many years, I've had to hear this statement used to criticize modern cinema. I find it quite trivial. For one thing: Of course, they don’t. Both art and the methods of creation evolve. What bothers me most is when this phrase is employed to disparage contemporary films. The notion that the art of the past is inherently superior to what we see today feels like a stubborn rejection of change.
Fortnite is finally back on Apple’s App Store … sort of.
After being abruptly removed from Apple’s App Store in 2020, Epic Games’ Fortnite has made its return. However, it’s important to note that it will only be visible on iPhones and iPads for searches conducted in the U.S., at least for the time being.
