NYT Strands for today: clues, spangram, and solutions for Thursday, May 22.
Strands is a brand new daily puzzle from the New York Times. It's a more challenging version of the traditional word search, requiring sharp observation skills to complete. Similar to Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands may pose difficulties on certain days. It's perfectly fine to seek assistance now and then. If you're finding yourself stuck and looking for the solutions to today's Strands puzzle, refer to the completed puzzle provided below.
How to play Strands
Each Strands puzzle begins with the objective of uncovering the "theme words" concealed within the letter grid. You can manipulate letters by dragging or tapping to form words; to confirm the final letter, double-tap it. When you correctly identify a word, the letters will glow blue and will no longer be selectable.
If you come across a word that isn’t part of the theme, it’s still beneficial! For every three non-theme words you discover that are at least four letters long, you’ll receive a hint — one of the theme words’ letters will be disclosed, which you will then need to unscramble.
Every letter in the grid contributes to spelling out the theme words without any overlapping. Each letter is utilized once, and only once.
Each puzzle features one “spangram,” a unique theme word (or words) representing the puzzle’s theme that spans two opposite sides of the board. Upon finding the spangram, it will be highlighted in yellow.
Your aim should be to finish the puzzle swiftly while minimizing the use of hints.

Once a PlayStation exclusive, Death Stranding is set to arrive on Game Pass next week.
505 Games has announced that Death Stranding will be available on PC Game Pass starting August 23. The publisher has confirmed that the version being added to the subscription service is the original 2019 game, not its Director's Cut. The game will include ultrawide support, a photo mode, and high frame rates. 505 Games also mentions that it will feature crossover content, presumably related to the collaborations with Half Life and Cyberpunk 2077. Additionally, players will have access to some unlockable items:
