3 fresh Xbox Game Pass titles to enjoy this weekend (May 23-25)

      GSC Game World

The recent weeks have showcased some of the best Xbox Game Pass titles we've seen on the service. We're still enjoying the excitement from Oblivion Remastered, Clair Obscure: Expedition 33, and Doom: The Dark Ages. If you're like me, you've likely completed all of these games recently and are now searching for a new pastime as Memorial Day weekend approaches. It seems Xbox is attempting to set a record for the number of outstanding weeks it can provide its subscribers. Let's start the long weekend off right with some top Xbox Game Pass game recommendations for you to download.

      **Monster Train 2**

Fans of deckbuilding roguelikes (and yes, there are quite a few of us) have been eagerly anticipating Monster Train 2 all year, and it's now available at no extra cost on its launch day via Game Pass. This sequel retains the core mechanics of the original, where players organize their forces and utilize special cards to defend their train as it traverses the map, but it boasts additional clans, cards, enemies, challenges, modes, and more. The first installment was already quite inviting for newcomers to the genre, and the improvements in the sequel enhance its accessibility even further. Meanwhile, seasoned players can increase the difficulty by engaging in Dimensional Challenges, which offer their own rewards.

Monster Train 2 is currently accessible on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC.

      **S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2**

Stalker 2 originally launched on Game Pass for PC and Ultimate subscribers, but it is now available to all users. If you hesitated to try the game due to its initial bugs or the tier access, now is the ideal moment to embark on your adventure in the Zone. The game was visually impressive upon release, and it now performs as intended by the development team. While it shares certain vibes with a Fallout game, it is significantly more intense and punishing. If you appreciated Atomfall from earlier this year, you will likely find this game will consume your entire weekend with its dynamic world events and multiple quest completion methods.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is now available on Xbox Series X/S and PC.

      **Tales of Kenzera: Zau**

We've seen numerous emotionally resonant and personal games recently, but one often overlooked title that deserves recognition is Tales of Kenzera: Zau. What may seem like a standard Metroidvania is, in fact, a deeply personal and cultural narrative about loss. The game's central story follows a young man grieving his father's death as he reads about Zau, a shaman who collaborates with Death in an effort to save his father’s spirit. Throughout his journey, he learns valuable lessons about grief leading to the climax. The game also offers solid gameplay with challenging platforming and a unique mechanic that allows players to switch between masks to change their abilities. You can complete it over a weekend, and I highly recommend doing so.

Tales of Kenzera: Zau is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC.

**3 new Xbox Game Pass games to play this weekend (April 18-20)**

Last week was significant for major day-one Game Pass releases, and next week seems even bigger with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 joining the service. However, there are many more titles being added besides this upcoming Xbox Series X game, making it a great opportunity to explore some smaller, less-known games. Instead of burdening you with a lengthy RPG that you'll struggle to finish before Expedition, here’s a selection of smaller titles that are perfect for a weekend of entertainment. Consider trying something a bit different this weekend with one of these games.

**SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game**

**3 new PlayStation Plus games to play this weekend (April 18-20)**

April has been a bit slow for new and upcoming PS5 titles. Next month promises plenty of great releases, from the eerie The Midnight Walk to the thrilling Doom: The Dark Ages, but during slower times like this, PlayStation Plus helps fill the gaps. The latter half of the month has seen fewer games arriving at the Extra and Premium tiers, but the quality and diversity certainly make up for it. As always, we aim to provide a varied selection of options for your weekend enjoyment, and we’re confident this group of three new PlayStation Plus games has something you will enjoy.

      **Hogwarts Legacy**

While discussions around Switch 2 are beginning to quiet down, one topic continues to gain momentum—game prices. With Nintendo pushing many upcoming Switch 2 titles beyond the $70 mark, the compelling value of Game Pass becomes even more
