At Microsoft Build 2025 this week, Soundcore, Anker Innovations' premium sub-brand, showcased its AI-enhanced wireless earbuds. The demonstration highlighted the generative and real-time translation features powered by Microsoft Azure, illustrating Soundcore’s ambitious move toward software-centric audio experiences.

The centerpiece of Soundcore's presentation was the Aerofit 2 earbuds, now featuring built-in real-time translation in over 100 languages. First introduced in 2024, the earbuds received an AI upgrade in March 2025, enabling bilingual conversations. Attendees explored two main functionalities: face-to-face translation, allowing real-time communication between speakers of different languages, and simultaneous interpretation, designed to help users stay engaged during meetings and lectures without losing track.

“We’re thrilled to be part of Microsoft Build and showcase what’s achievable when A.I. combines with everyday technology,” stated Dongping Zhao, president of Anker Innovations. “With strong technical integration and shared innovation ambitions, we’re able to offer smarter, more intuitive, and responsive audio products for users globally.”

This year, the Aerofit 2 won both iF Design and Red Dot awards, designed to merge functionality, comfort, and aesthetic appeal. However, Anker is already focused on future developments. The company hinted at an upcoming version of its Soundcore earbuds, which will utilize Azure’s Voice Live API to facilitate full generative voice AI conversations. Their aim is to create natural, two-way dialogues with capabilities to manage interruptions, cancel echo, suppress noise, and recognize end-of-turn cues, all in real-time.

This enhanced integration with Azure indicates a significant transformation for Anker, shifting from hardware-centric approaches to hybrid hardware-software solutions. With Microsoft’s infrastructure and Anker’s research and development capabilities, they plan to redefine the potential of smart audio.

Tubi, the ad-supported on-demand streaming service owned by Fox and part of the FAST boom, boasts over 200,000 movies and TV shows available for its 74 million monthly active users. The challenge lies in choosing what to watch. To tackle this, Tubi has unveiled a new search system to assist users in navigating the platform.

Named Rabbit AI, this system leverages ChatGPT-4—which is a more advanced version than the free one many use—to improve upon the limitations of Tubi's previous keyword searches. It introduces a more conversational interface, akin to discussing options with a friend.
