Three new Xbox Game Pass titles to enjoy this weekend (May 16-19)
Bethesda
Like all game subscription services, some weeks are less exciting while others are quite remarkable. We're happy to report that this week falls into the latter category. There’s a major day one game that has been at the top of our most anticipated upcoming Xbox games list for months, along with two other unexpected additions to Game Pass that we are thrilled to recommend. As always, we aim to provide a varied assortment of games across different genres, not just the top FPS titles on Xbox. So, if you're ready to dive into some quality gaming this weekend, here are the games we can’t put down.
Doom: The Dark Ages
Of course, the highlight of this week is Doom: The Dark Ages. The newest entry in the Doom series serves as a prequel to the 2016 reboot and takes things even further with an expanded array of weapons, demons, gore, and heavy metal action. Set in a medieval environment, this installment also represents a significant shift from the previous two games, as there is no multiplayer feature, allowing for a singular focus on delivering the finest single-player campaign possible. While these games can feel overwhelming with the sheer number of enemies and projectiles on screen, a variety of accessibility options enable you to customize your experience to what feels best for you. If you want to dominate and tear through demons with ease, we couldn’t recommend a better game.
Doom: The Dark Ages is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2
We completely understand how daunting any game or product associated with the Warhammer brand can seem, but the key takeaway for Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is that it is essentially Left 4 Dead, featuring giant rats in place of zombies. It leans more towards melee combat, although ranged attacks are available. You and your squad will embark on missions, each one taking on one of five characters and selecting from more than a dozen different careers to customize your skills and abilities. It provides the same chaotic fun as you work together to progress while facing more lethal special rat types that can incapacitate you if not dealt with promptly. Since Doom is focused solely on single-player, this is the ideal game to enjoy with friends over the weekend.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo
If Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo is unfamiliar to you, that’s understandable. This game just launched today, but it shouldn't go unnoticed. It is a remarkable artistic endeavor that celebrates Latin American culture through a comedic lens. You'll explore the realm of Limbo in an adventure game format, aiding the souls you encounter in reconciling and accepting their personal issues to break free from the repetitive cycle of Limbo. Beyond standard adventure mechanics, there are also some basic combat and stealth elements to enhance the experience, but the game is designed to be a more relaxed and introspective journey.
Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo is available now on Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC.

3 new Xbox Game Pass games to play this weekend (April 18-20)
Last week was significant regarding major day one Game Pass titles, and next week appears to be even bigger with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 joining the service. However, there are many more games being added to the catalog beyond that single upcoming Xbox Series X game, making this an excellent time to explore some smaller, lesser-known titles. We won’t overwhelm you with a lengthy RPG that you'll struggle to complete before Expedition, so we’ve compiled a selection of smaller games perfect for a fun weekend experience. Why not try something a bit different this weekend with one of these titles?

3 new PlayStation Plus games to play this weekend (April 18-20)
April has been somewhat slow for new and upcoming PS5 releases. The following month promises a wealth of exciting titles, from the eerie The Midnight Walk to the thrilling Doom: The Dark Ages, but during lulls like this, PlayStation Plus helps to fill the void. The second half of the month has seen a relatively smaller number of games hitting the Extra and Premium tiers than usual, but the quality and variety certainly compensate for it. As always, we aim to provide you with a nice mix of options for your weekend gaming, and we believe this set of three new PlayStation Plus games has something you will enjoy.
