Apple Music has just simplified the transition from Spotify more than ever before.

Apple has started to introduce a new feature that simplifies the process of transitioning from Spotify to Apple Music.
This new tool enables users to transition from any streaming service to Apple Music with greater ease.
The purpose of this feature, which was in beta testing as of February, is to facilitate the migration to Apple Music while preserving users' playlists and libraries.
The migration tool is a partnership with SongShift, a service that specializes in transferring playlists and libraries between different streaming platforms.
How does the Apple Music transfer tool function?
This option facilitates the movement of playlists, libraries, and liked songs between streaming services. However, Apple does caution, as noted on its support page, that it may not capture all details accurately. This discrepancy stems from the differences in what can be identified and the versions of tracks among third-party streaming platforms.
If an exact match cannot be found, Apple Music will notify you, allowing you to choose alternative tracks, playlists, and libraries from the Apple Music catalog. You have a 30-day period from the initial transfer to review any unmatched music and select alternatives.
The service is compatible with iPhone, iPad, browsers, and Android devices. To use it, you just navigate to Apple Music, then go to “Transfer music from other services,” select the music service, log in, choose what to transfer, and finally tap “Add to library.”
When will this tool be available?
Apple has begun to roll out the music streaming transfer tool in Australia and New Zealand. This seems to be an initial phase before a global rollout is anticipated.
The timing of this new service's rollout is interesting, especially given that Apple is currently engaged in legal disputes that could potentially benefit competitors like Spotify. If not just a coincidence, this might mean the tool will be widely available sooner rather than later.

Dolby Atmos has finally been made available on Apple Music for Windows.
Almost four years after Apple Music began supporting Dolby Atmos, the feature is now accessible for Windows subscribers. A recent support document from Apple (via MacRumors) confirms that this limitation has been lifted. Dolby Atmos is an audio technology that enhances sound quality by creating immersive three-dimensional soundscapes. Unlike traditional audio systems that rely on fixed channels or speakers, Dolby Atmos adopts an object-based audio approach. This allows sound to be treated as distinct "objects" that can be positioned anywhere in a three-dimensional environment, including above the listener, enabling sound engineers and content creators to strategically place audio elements for a more realistic listening experience.

Apple may eventually eliminate physical buttons on the iPhone, but that won’t happen in the near future.
The rumors about upcoming smartphones are ever-present, especially concerning the next devices from Apple and Samsung. For years, speculation has circulated that Apple is contemplating the use of solid-state buttons for its iPhones, possibly moving away from traditional physical buttons like volume and power controls. These rumors initially emerged prior to the iPhone 15 Pro launch in 2023, and when that didn't materialize, attention shifted to the iPhone 16 Pro. Yet, this design change did not occur then either, and while it doesn’t mean Apple has entirely abandoned the concept, it appears that any transition might take some time.
