Apple users of the Vision Pro are anticipated to receive an update that enhances intuitive interactions through eye tracking.
This new feature, as reported by Bloomberg, will utilize eye tracking, enabling users to navigate apps solely with their eyes.
At present, the headset employs hand gestures among other methods for interacting with the content displayed. The introduction of eye tracking aims to simplify the scrolling process, making it effortless.
It’s akin to a musician performing while someone turns the pages for them; in this scenario, the headset will recognize your gaze and adjust accordingly to bring up the next segment.
Initially, it seems that Apple will restrict this feature to its own applications. However, developers will be able to access it, suggesting that more third-party applications may offer eye-tracking options in the future.
Is eye tracking a new concept for Apple?
Though this eye-tracking capability is new for the Apple Vision Pro, Apple has been developing it for some time.
Eye tracking was first introduced in iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 as an accessibility function. This utilizes the front-facing camera to recognize eye movements and scroll as necessary.
It employs a feature called Dwell Control, which selects an item when a user's gaze remains on it for a specified duration. This functionality also allows users to engage with Smoothing and Snap-to-Item, enabling interaction through eye movements alone.
We hope all of these features are incorporated into the Vision Pro’s eye-tracking capabilities.
When will the Vision Pro receive eye-tracking scrolling?
The report indicates that this updated functionality is set to be included in the visionOS 3 update.
Apple is expected to announce this new feature at WWDC 2025 on June 9.

Apple allows AirPods Pro owners to upgrade to USB-C
Apple has begun selling the USB-C version of the AirPods Pro Gen 2 charging case separately, a welcome option for those wanting to transition to USB-C charging for their existing second-generation AirPods Pro. However, this shift from Lightning to USB-C comes with a significant cost: Apple is pricing it at $99, as noted by the Verge, which is half the price of a complete new set of AirPods Pro second-gen with USB-C currently listed on Amazon.
Apple has enhanced the AirPods Pro with lossless audio capabilities, sort of
During the recent launch of new Apple products, there was a brief mention of the noteworthy refresh to the AirPods Pro Gen 2 wireless earbuds. In addition to the anticipated switch to USB-C, which makes the AirPods Pro the first Apple headphones to eliminate the Lightning connector, Apple has also enabled the popular white noise-canceling earbuds to support lossless audio wirelessly—a first for the AirPods line and a rarity among non-Apple wireless audio devices.
However, there is a caveat. The "groundbreaking wireless audio protocol" enabling lossless audio at 20-bit/48 kHz (a resolution better than CD quality) is powered by the AirPods Pro's H2 chip, but it currently functions only when used with the forthcoming Apple Vision Pro headset. As of now, Qualcomm's aptX Lossless Bluetooth codec (when utilized with compatible wireless headphones and smartphones) is the sole technology that offers wireless lossless audio, and even that is confined to 16-bit/48kHz.
Apple Vision Pro introduces TV and 3D movies on a colossal 100-foot-wide screen
As anticipated, Apple revealed its first mixed-reality headset, the Apple Vision Pro, at WWDC 2023. Among its numerous remarkable features, Apple showcased how the device will allow viewers to watch TV and movies, with impressive results. The headset is expected to launch in 2024, with a price tag of $3,500.
Apple demonstrated that the Vision Pro can create a virtual screen within the user's field of view, adjustable to any desired size. At its maximum size, Apple claims the screen can span a relative width of 100 feet.
