      Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013-2021)

You may have mixed feelings about a sitcom based in a Brooklyn police station, but Brooklyn Nine-Nine is so entertaining that it can dispel those concerns. This series centers on a Brooklyn cop who aspires to be in a Die Hard movie but learns that much of police work involves paperwork; it excels on an episode-by-episode basis.

With fantastic supporting performances from Andre Braugher and Terry Crews, few shows achieve such high levels of humor. At the same time, the series knows how to evoke emotion on the rare occasions it calls for it.

      Cunk on Earth (2022)

If you’re not acquainted with Diane Morgan’s character Philomena Cunk, Cunk on Earth is a perfect introduction. This British mockumentary covers the entire history of humanity in a clever and ridiculous manner, highlighting the many ways people have always been foolish.

Cunk, who is purposefully portrayed as somewhat dim-witted, frequently interviews real experts who don’t quite grasp the nature of the documentary they’re participating in. A significant part of the enjoyment derives from watching her interact with these straightforward experts while still managing to elicit plenty of laughs along the way.

      The Crown (2016-2023)

As one of the most prominent drama series in Netflix’s history, The Crown may appear to be somewhat laborious now that it has concluded. The most fascinating aspect of this series, which depicts Queen Elizabeth II's reign from its inception to modern times, is its cast change every two seasons.

Although it can be slightly reverential towards the queen, The Crown offers a captivating examination of her ceremonial duties and her interactions with the history of the United Kingdom. Featuring exceptional performances and dramatic storytelling, The Crown lives up to the acclaim from its most ardent supporters.
