      When pollen counts rise, many individuals experience a decline in air quality. Being informed in advance and prepared can greatly impact your comfort. This is where Google Pixel Weather comes into play.

      Google has started to roll out an update for Pixel Weather, enabling it to provide a pollen tracker feature throughout much of the U.S.

      While the rollout began in recent days, it is now becoming available on more devices, making it more accessible nationwide—just as weather changes affect many users.

      The pollen count will now be a key component in the five-day weather forecast displayed in Pixel Weather.

      What does the Pixel Weather pollen feature include?

      A new dedicated section labeled Pollen has been added to Pixel Weather.

      This section is presented in a pill-shaped box with three data rings that are color-coded for easy interpretation.

      The first ring indicates Grass, the second represents Tree, and the third shows Weed.

      Each of these categories receives a score from 0 to 4, corresponding to Low (green), Medium (yellow), High (orange), and Severe (red).

      When you tap on these, you’ll find more details with a five-day forecast, starting with the Grass measurement as the first metric.

      It’s important to mention that this new Pollen section appears as the last card on your app screen, but you can reorder them to place it higher if you want it prioritized.

      Is pollen a new feature in Pixel Weather?

      This pollen feature is a new addition for the U.S., yet it is playing catch-up as it has already been available in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, and Japan.

      Ensure you have the latest version of the app installed to access the new pollen feature.

      If you’ve been frustrated by the somewhat limited size of the Google Messages text box, there’s good news: it can now accommodate more than four lines. Last month, Google Messages revamped its composition field—the area where you type your messages—but many users were disappointed that it only displayed four lines at a time. This was particularly inconvenient for sharing long URLs that filled most of the field.

      Now, however, changes are coming. In the latest version of the Google Messages beta, the text field can expand to 14 lines before scrolling is needed to see further text. This feature isn’t yet in the stable release but should be available soon.

      A clever Google app solved my issue with the Pixel 9a’s camera

      The Google Pixel 9a may not have the most extensive list of features on the market; it lacks multiple lenses and even a telephoto lens. Yet, it is making me think it could be all the smartphone camera I need. However, its true potential shines through once you dedicate some time to editing your photos post-capture.

      There’s something distinctively impressive about the Pixel 9a’s camera app. It’s well-designed, responsive, and performs as expected. You can quickly access the camera app by double-clicking the power button, and it allows for minor adjustments to brightness and shadows in real-time. Its simplicity is advantageous compared to a full Pro mode and can be easily bypassed if desired.
